Percy's pov:

I woke up around 9 the next morning thinking about how we needed to solve the situation between us and the Mermaids. We can't get to close to them, but at the same time, we shouldn't be rude. I sighed, rubbing my head. It was too early to be thinking about this. I rolled out of bed and headed down to the kitchen. I saw Annabeth making a smoothie, and I snuck up behind her, wrapping my hands around her small waist. She laughed a little as I played with her messy curly hair.

"Morning Wise Girl." I whispered in her ear.

"Morning" she replied. She finished making her smoothie and I reluctantly let go. Before she walked away, I grabbed her hips gently and pulled her closer to me. I lowered my head and pulled her into a kiss. She smiled against my lips as I deepened the kiss. Unfortunately we were interrupted with a cough. I stood up straight and looked at the door way, where Leo was standing smirking, along with everyone else. I scratched behind my neck, embarrassed.

"H-Hey guys." I stammered. Leo's smirk only grew.

"This is not the bedroom guys. Others want to get some food." I  rolled my eyes at Leo's remark before grabbing a bag of chips and heading out to the living room.

Once everyone had their breakfast and we were sitting around the living room, Annabeth and I brought up what had happened last night. As we took turns explaining the situation, a knock at the door interupted us. The group shared a confused look, before all of us got up to go answer it. I watched as Annabeth pulled open the door a crack.

"Hello?" She asked softly.

"Where the Hell is Nixie?" Annabeth looked back at me confused, before pulling the door open wider, revealing Lyla and Serena on the other side.

"How are we suposed to know?" I ask her. She glared at me.

"Because you took her." Leo laughed, earning another glare from her.

"Why would we want to take her? She gets on my nerves." I looked past Lyla to look at Serena. Out of the 3 girls, she seemed the nicest. I almost felt bad for her having to put up with Lyla and Nixie.

"Maybe we should go." She said softly, trying to pull Lyla away. I nodded in agreement, as Lyla glared at us. She turned on her heel and started to walk away. Serena shot us an apologetic look before rushing after her. Annabeth shut the door and we just stood in silence, thinking about what had happened. Was Nixie really missing? Did we lead something here? Leo was the first to break the silence, no surprise there.

"Well, that was dramatic."

Lyla's Pov

I stormed away from the house, both ferious and worried. Nixie really didn't go off on her own, expecially if it was going to be a full moon. We needed to find her, and fast.

"Lyla, wait." I stopped, waiting for Serena to catch up. "I don't think they took her." She glared back down at me.

"What if they wanted to run some experiments after they found out what we were?" She bit her lip and looked down.

"I don't think they would do that."

"I'm sure they have something to do with this." I continued walking until we got to the beach. I jumped in and started to go as fast as I could towards the Moon Pool. Maybe Serena was wrong, and Nixie just went out for some food. We had already checked with Rita, and she said she hadn't seen her, but if she wasn't at the moon pool, maybe she would be back there. But something about this felt off. And that group. I just knew that it had something to do with them.

A/N

So, this is an update. Impressive I know. This story is getting a little harder for me to write, I don't really watch Mako mermaids any more, but I'll try and get some chapters out for you guys, expecially since this is my most famous story.

Also, if you guys like Riverdale, Spiderman, Supernatural, and Starwars, I have a few other books in those fandoms, so feel free to check them out.

I also was reading back on this story, to refresh my memory because it has been a while since I've worked on it, and dang, my writing has improved, at least the format.

I hope that you guys liked the chapter, It's a little shorter, but at least it's something. Thank you guys for 16,000 views, that is just crazy to me, and it means so much to me. Thank you.
