I honestly don't have the slightest idea of how to start this, so let's jus get right into it.
I have been listening to Carousel by Melanie Martinez for a while now, and I'm just now realizing the relationship that song has with me.
Here's how I know:
Song: "Almost, almost, we're a freakshow."
My Mind: Everytime I'm together with you, we cause a loud commotion. Acting like six year olds, running around and breaking various things. People think it's funny while others look down on it.
Song: "It's all fun and games 'till somebody falls in love."
My Mind: We play all day, but when it's time for you leave, I feel this strong pain in my heart. It's like we're being torn apart. To be locked away. To never see each other again. I know it's only for a couple of hours, but that's when I realized that I wanted to be with you forever. Even 5 feet away would cause a mental breakdown for me.
Song: "But you've already brought a ticket, and there's no turning back now."
My Mind: Regret. I'm not good enough for you, but the force keeps pulling me forward...
*some months later*
Song: "Chasing after you is like a fairytail." & "Right, right when I'm near, it's like you disappeared."
My Mind: I wonder what happened to us sometimes. I can't be with you because you're always busy. You only have 2 seconds for me and you disappear again. I understand that you're kind, and you always want to help those in need... but I'm in need for your love, and it seems as if you're ignoring me.
Song: "Feel like I'm glued on tight to this carousel."
My Mind: Cycle. It's all a cycle. A cycle of pain that I continue to feel every time you leave me.

I'm pretty sure none of this made actual sense to you. I just thought that I should share this feeling, cuz it's really bugging me at how that song decribes how I feel in various ways. It's kinda fucked up if you ask me.
