I walked through the woods, holding my hand over my eyes to block out the morning sun. I walked slowly, careful not to slip on ice. I scanned the snowy forest, inspecting every tree to see if anyone was there. Disappointed, I sighed as I turned around. Another day and still not a single sign of Lydon, maybe he did abandon me... what am I thinking! Lydon would never do that! I really do need more faith in him... then again it has been what, two months? I thought to myself as I turned around.

I followed the small path I had made a while ago. My fingers and toes were cold, even with thick gloves and two pairs of socks on. I knew that they were probably on the verge of getting frost bites so I hurried back to the tree house. My hair was also frozen. Taking only a few minutes to get back, I hurried up the ladder. Surprisingly, the tree house was pretty warm, but I think that's because of the heaters installed. It also had solar powered lights. The wood was also tightly nailed together, trapping the heat in and keeping out the cold.

I took of my winter gloves then I took off my snow boots. I looked down at my red hands before taking off my blue jacket. I turned behind me and put them on the hangers. I sighed before scanning the tree house. The small wooden table looked exactly like when it did before I left, the small opened journal next to a bowl of cereal. The cabinets on the left were still closed. Looks like no one visited at all while I was gone... huh. I guess I can go out again and check one last time. I really should give up, after all it's been two months.

I looked to the doorway on the right, the bedroom and the bathroom. Surprisingly, there was a working shower and toilet in this tree house. Sometimes I wonder how the heck does that work, but I stopped wondering after finding a pipe that leads to a nearby river. Most of the time the water was cold, but sometimes there be warm water. In the beginning there was a lot of warm water, but now there's barely any.

I walked over to the heater underneath the table and put my hands in front of it, slowly massaging them. Once my hands were warm, I put my feet in front of the heater, I still had my socks on. Once my feet were warm, I got up to check my bathroom. Unlike the rest of my treehouse, the bathroom was made out of very light ceramic materials or well, at least the floor. The walls were made out of birch wood unlike the oak that was used for the rest of the house. The toilet and the shower was made out of whatever showers and toilets were usually made out of.

The sink was made out of birch and was sanded down and glossed over with resin. A medium sized mirror was above the sink in a silver frame. The small cabinets above the toilet were filled with face cream, masks, etc. My toothbrush was in a small cup on top of the sink with toothpaste next to it. There, in the cup, I could see a small razor hidden by the toothbrush. Next to the cup was a blue hair brush. The cabinets below the sink were filled with extra toothbrush, toilet paper, and female products.

I stared at the mirror in front of me, studying myself. My long straight black hair was no longer frozen. Dark eye bags lay underneath my tired dark brown eyes. They lost the childlike gleam they used to have, now they were dull. Moving hair out of my face, I yawned.

Everything still looked untouched. Frowning slightly, I turned around and walked a door over to my room. Unlike the rest of the house, the walls of my room was painted purple and had a light purple rug in the middle. The left wall was covered with bookshelves and the right wall was covered with shelves filled with art supplies. In the middle of the room was a blue and white bed with a brownish blanket folded in a circle on top. Next to the bed were two bedside tables with a solar powered lamp on top of one of them. The other one was filled with my clothes. A large window was behind my bed.

Just like everything else, everything was still untouched. I smiled sadly as I walked over to my bed. I fell into the blue and white sheets and buried my face as I grabbed my blanket. I kept smiling, even as the tears rolled down my face. I sobbed silently as I clutched the blanket tightly. I clenched my teeth as I struggled to keep the sobs from escaping.

I really should give up. Just accept the fact that you've been abandoned! Lydon lied! H-He forgot about me... he doesn't love me. I thought miserably as I rolled onto my side to bury my face into my blanket, letting the sobs out.

Once I ran out of tears, I sat up, staring out of the room towards the bathroom. I smiled softly

My wrists itched.

I held my newly bandages wrists, as I walked around and the house. I looked around the cabinets in the main room as I scavenged for food. Just boxes of cereal and granola bars. I really don't want to eat anymore grainy food, there should be a twenty dollar bill here. Maybe I should go get some food, McDonald's sounds nice. This way I'll at least have some human interaction. Now, I think the closest city is five miles north... guess I'm taking a trip.

I smiled as I grabbed the twenty dollars and went to put on my winter gear. This theme I some hand warmers and foot warmers into my gloves and shoes. It's going to be a long walk and I don't want to get frost bites. I told myself as I climbed down the ladder, putting the twenty dollars in my jacket pocket. I put my hands in my pocket as I started walking.

I hummed softly to myself as I walked through the forest, listening to the soft crunching in of snow. Good thing this forest didn't have any natural predators else I'll most likely be dead by now. Kinda scary how you could die any second, huh? The first week of staying here, I cried myself to sleep since it was the first time I was staying all alone in the forest.

After what felt like thirty minutes, I fell. "Ow. Didn't see that ledge..." I whispered to myself as I rubbed my knees. As I tried to get up, I kept slipping and sliding down.

Crack!

I froze, I brushed off some snow on the ground and stared at cracking ice. I was on top of a frozen lake that was cracking by the second.

"Hey kid! What're yo–shit! Don't move I'll get you." A muscular voice shouted across what seemed like the edge of the lake. I looked up to see a handsome young man walking slowly towards me. I gulped as I tried to stay still.

He wore a thick grey coat and a white scarf. He had black jeans. His messy black hair had a blue fade. As he got closer, I could see that he had hazel eyes. He carefully tread over the ice, slipping her and there.

As he was about two feet away from me, the ice below me broke. I stared, shocked at his horrified face as he stared at me. That was the last thing I saw as I fell into the dark cold water. My lungs screamed in pain as I breathed in the freezing water. I went to cough but ended up swilling more water. Sinking towards the bottom, I could hear him dive into the water to drag me out, but that was all I remembered as my vision darkened.
