All I can wonder now is:
Could this be
a part of death?
Along with the beeping
and my mother’s voice.
does there come a shocking noise
That'll make you question
whether you’ve lost your mind?
Is it really
a part of death
to hear those who have hurt you
sounding ill and out of breath?
The voice that shocked me
as you may have supposed
Belonged to none other
than that vicious
