I Was Once Told

I was once told

I was too kind

"How could that be?"

I thought in my mind.

Kindness

Is a good thing

Something essential to have

It benefits you

And those around you

In fact it,

It makes them want to surround you.

I asked my mother

What could that mean,

She said

"Don't worry honey,

They just wanted warn you

To limit your kindness

Or people will use you."

I gave her a confused look

She continued,

As if reciting from a book

"If you're too kind

People will use you

They'll walk all over you,

Not caring if they use you."

Today

Those words came back to me

I'm so sorry I didn't update yesterday, I've been pretty busy. School's coming up in a few days, but I'll try to keep updating at least once a week. Please don't forget to vote & follow, I'm currently working on a Hunger Games fan fiction, a kpop fanfiction, a brand new book and a short Kpop related story(which will be up soon). I'll continue working on "Every Rose Has Its Thorns". From how it's progressing, I think it'll have 20 chapters rather than the original 15 that I'd planned on writing. ( I wrote 15 so far, but the story still doesn't feel done to me.)
