Two Halves

Begin Part 6

-Namjoon-

God, I must have been crazy to almost kiss my best friend. Had he really almost kissed me back though? I had to be out my mind to think that Jin almost helped me close the distance between us. I closed my eyes and finished drying my hair since I was already dressed and ready but I couldn't stop thinking about how Jin had just stripped and showered with me, even almost kissing me. I put on my hat and shoes before going to the living room where Jin was on the phone and smiled like he had an idea before saying something and hanging up.  When he turned he was started to see me but nodded softly.

Jin- "you're it."

I was confused at first but when I caught on I chased him out the door trying to tag him and we kept running until he turned and stuck his tongue out of me which let me tag him but he instantly tagged me back so I chased him down the stairs.

He ran pretty fast ahead of me and I wondered if I'd be able to catch him until I jumped back, started by Jungkook coming between Jin and I while both of us laughed.

Jin- "Truce for now?"

I nodded.

Namjoon- "Truce."

Jungkook- "You two trying to murder each other?"

Jin laughed and had the most adorable smile I'd ever seen.

Namjoon- "Nah, he wanted to be childish so we played a childish game."

Jin- "Yah! Not true at all. I just wanted to make you run for once. Jungkook said to hurry so that was the fastest way!"

Jungkook looked at Jin like he was going to hit him aside the head but he didn't. He instilled fear into Jin since we were young and taught him not to play around.

Jungkook- "Anyway. Let's go. Namjoon you staying the night?"

Jin smiled before getting in the car, as if he knew my answer already.

Namjoon- "I don't work for a few days so sure. Just to catch up."

Jungkook- "Jin, I'm driving so you and Namjoon get in the back."

He sighed and climbed over the seat to the back. Jungkook was really annoyed at Jin so he kicked both of us to the back so he could calm down but I didn't exactly know why and what changed his mind of being mad at me. He blasted music while his window was down and drove while Jin and I laughed and joked in the back like we used to all the time.

Jin- "You remember Taehyung?"

I nodded. He used to be my second favorite boy in that friend group other than Jin topped every single list I had.

Namjoon- "Yeah. What about him?"

Jin- "He's a dad now. Jungkook and him were engaged for a while but I think Taehyung got drunk one night and lost control when a stripper made him let his guard down and she got pregnant so Taehyung had to take responsibility. Jungkook is like this now."

Ah. Made sense of why he suddenly hated me because I'd left and also what made him change his mind on being hateful to me.

Namjoon- "we should call a get together."

I said it without thinking but Jin seemed to like that idea as he smirked and nodded.

Jin- "good idea. I have everyones phone numbers. I'll see what this model can do. Well except Hoseok that is but he has a dance studio not far from here. He's famous for his dance and he and Jimin dance together often but Jimin is married to Yoongi I think. Not sure which one he ended up with since I knew the three were in love before. Jimin loved Yoongi and Hobi but Hobi loved Jimin and Yoongi loved Jimin so the friends were close because they each loved Jimin."

I chuckled. God I missed so much when I left. Once we got to Jins place where he started to set the lunch date for the next day and he seemed pretty happy. This went on for hours while Jungkook read a book.

Namjoon- "Jungkook."

He looked up.

Jungkook- "Yes? You said my name. Don't wear that out or you won't have much else to call me."

Namjoon- "what happened to you when I left? You used to be the kindest...Smartest, coolest bunny around."

He forced a laugh and his eyes seemed broken.

Jungkook- "I grew up and saw things for how they were. Like how you and Jin are both famous but didn't keep track of each other when you ran away."

I shook my head.

Namjoon- "How do you know I didn't keep track of him?"

Jungkook- "then you're a dick for ignoring him and hurting him so much."

Namjoon- "why do you hate me so much then Jungkook? This wasn't anything to do with you but you hate me more than Jin himself."

He chuckled.

Jungkook- "he's to soft for hate."

He set his book down and left the room without another word.

Jin came in and sat beside me.

Jin- "You want to see Hobi? I can take you but I doubt he wants to speak to me. I said harsh things to him."

I nodded, since it was still early. Only one in the afternoon and we'd been busy since around eight since they were doing the model work for my company around two AM and they probably slept already.

Namjoon- "Sure. You two are letting me stay overnight so we can hang out more so this can be my fee."

He looked at my arm sadly so I smiled and lifted his chin.

Namjoon- "Jin, don't feel bad. The tennis game didn't hurt me. It was years ago. So don't say something pitiful like I know you're about to."
