Rose's POV

I stood still thinking i was shot. I wasn't, it was Yoongi who shot the man's gun. 2 more police officers came tackling him down.

"Rose? You ok?"

I turned around, "Ah- yes... Thanks."

Both of us started walking back to our car when while the killer was being cuffed and was behind of us.

Suga handed me a bottle of water and smiled.

The culprit walked in front of us, "Chaeyoung," I see him smirked as he went pass me.

Author's POV

Rose had her eyes widen, she stood still dropping the bottle.

She started walking faster and faster towards the culprit and slammed him against the car door, "How do you know that name?" She whispered with a glare.

"Rose! What are you doing!" Jungkook yelled as he came closer towards the scene.

The man just smirked.

Jungkook came and touched Rose's hand, "DON'T TOUCH ME!" Jungkook was surprise, "I'm asking 1 more time. How. Do. You. Know. That. Name."

"Oh chérie (oh darling), you should know Chae. You should know."

Rose stepped backwards still having an eye contact with the man.

The police continued and put him inside the car, right when the door closed he whispered something,

"Don't be deceive by him Chaeyoung."

Rose looked at the window seeing rain spatter everywhere. It's like it's mourning for someone. Crying out loud thinking why did that happened.

"Rose." She turned around, it's Jungkook, "I got infos of the man."

Jisoo started talking, "He's 26 years old. Looks like he's part of a gang called Serpents."

"Serpents are known to kill for reasons, "Jungkook rustled with the papers, "But this man really didn't have any reason killing that person."

"They're sneaky after a crime is made. Serpent member are hard to catch it's like they changed into a new person not knowing that person is the same who committed the crime."

Jungkook continued, "Like an actual serpents, who make shift into a different animal or human."

"What was his name?" Rose asked.

"Wasn't it Junhoe?"

Junhoe?

"Chaeyoung, Junhoe is here."

"Hi oppa!"

"Rose? You ok?" Jisoo asked.

Rose snapped out and shook her head, "I've been getting not much sleep... Sorry..."

"It's fine! You should be getting enough sleep. Being a full time officer, you need sleep."

Jisoo looked at Rose knowing what she said wasn't true. It was something else.

Jisoo and Jungkook started walking to the headquarter, Jisoo noticed that something was bothering Jungkook.

"What's wrong?"

Jungkook tilted his head, "I'm so confuse. Serpents are known to escape from us always. Whenever they target someone, they know that person's schedule and study the place to have escape routine options. He chose the one he knows he's gonna get caught. They aren't like that."

"What are you saying?"

"What i'm saying is-"

"He planned to get caught?" Jisoo cut him.

Both stopped, "Well... Yeah?" Jungkook questioned himself.
