Rose's POV

It's been 3 weeks. The chief have been not trying to communicate with me then Jungkook had been not himself.

He was avoiding me and can't even bother looking on my eyes. It all happened when Ji-Yong was shot. Did something happened?

I was at the office and I remembered Jungkook and i were assigned to work together to finding X.

I went to the investigation room and waited for Jungkook. I waited for 2 hours and he was not back. And so i just started doing the investigation alone, again.

The door creaked and Jungkook was finally here.

"Ju-" He cut me,

"Let's just start the investigation."

I wanted to cry. I don't know why he was being like this! Yes! I do like him... This indifference act towards him is making me sad and confuse... I dont know why he's doing this...

"Ok..."

We started the investigation and talked about this actions. We found a pattern. He would kill someone who was their ally. He was merciless. All the people he sent to kill or personally he would kill is always at night every 11th day.

There's also a similar pattern to how they kill. Shoot both the shoulders, use a knife to dissect some body part.

2 hours passed and Jungkook rashly left. I was done with his attitude making me grab his hand.

"Jungkook, i dont know why you are acting like this, please! Tell me what i have done?" I begged him.

He made me let him go and slammed the door in front of my face. That action made me cry. I was hurt.

"Rose thanks for the lunch!" Jisoo exclaimed.

"You're welcome eonni. May i ask something?"

"Yeah sure."

"Have you noticed that Jungkook has been cold lately?"

Jisoo titled her head, "No... But every time you come he leaves the room immediately. He has been a little different for sure. He has been hanging with Ji-Yong oppa a lot for sure."

"Ji-Yong?" I asked.

"Yeah," She looked at me, "Why? Is there something going on with you two lately?"

"No... It's just, he has been so cold with me lately..."

"Well, i can't really butt in your business, sorry i can't help..."

"No it's fine! It's just, i'm so confuse..."

I looked down.

2 days later and it is my day off. I just came from the grocery shop and i saw Jungkook leaving his apartment. I went and grab his hand again but this time firm. I forced him to go to my apartment and i did.

I made him sit on my sofa. I was done and i need to know why he was acting like this.

"What are you doing Rose?" He asked, he got up but i'm not letting him. The only way i thought was to sit on his lap. It did work he stop moving.

"Jungkook. Tell me what's wrong!"

I didn't bother that our body was too close, i just wanted to know why he was doing this to me.

"Rose get up."

"No! I'm done! Why are you acting like this!"

"Just get up Rose!" He yelled back.

I flinched and he saw it. He put his hand on his forehead and started rubbing it.

"Look Rose... My life has changed dramatically in the last few weeks. And i just need to adjust to it..."

I looked at him directly at his dark brown eyes, "I understand. I hope the adjustment will not last for a long time. I want the old Jungkook back..."

"Why?"

"I like you Jungkook..."

He looked away, "Oh."

"So please. If you have adjusted, maybe i can take you on a date. What's your answer on that?"

"I'll answer it later."

I faintly smiled and let him go.

"When's later..." I whispered when i heard the door click.
