Yeah there's angst.

Prompt: Fate/Destiny

They crawled through the familiar door of the Mononokean, watching the scroll chime its usual phrase.

"Welcome back!"

Its cheery phrase brought a smile to the two teens as they looked over their work for the day. A simple exorcism and they would have the day to themselves. Well, it would've been, if there wasn't a meeting at the Legislator's office.

This gained a snort from the blonde. "More like a party."

"Yeah, but this was a meeting with the powers."

The blonde snarked back a small reply.

"Sure."

Once they finished exorcising the demon, they retired to the Mononokean, where they got ready to head to the Underworld for a meeting with the Three Major Powers. Abeno was quick to toss his employee a silky blue yukata to wear before heading inside his own closet to grab his other kimono.

Without hesitance, the portal to the Underworld was summoned and the two headed down towards the Legislator's place, not too eager about what was going to go down.

"Ah, Mr. Legislator, the Mononokean and his employee are here."

A voice called from the inside.

"Bring them in, we are just about to start."

The two followed the servant down the hall and into what appeared to be a dining room, lit purely from the lights outside. None of this was unfamiliar, but that uneasy tension between the two of them was strong and unrelenting.

When they finally arrived in the room, Ashiya was quick to notice the Executive's piercing stare shoot through him, leaving an icy feeling in the bottom of his chest.

The Executive started off the meeting with a chilling phrase. "As you may know, the Princess isn't doing the best, as you've previously seen."

"And I presume she isn't doing much better?" Abeno inqueried. Anything was better than being in a room with them. It was intoxicated air that had so much tension anyone who stepped in the room would immediately be affected.

The Justice was quick to intervene."She is doing significantly better. And how is Yahiko? You haven't given us any new reports."

"He is doing alright. His symptoms aren't flaring up, and he is taking to his medicine."

"So tense Itsuki, there's no fun in being like that."

A crash was heard in the distance. It sounded as if someone shattered ceramic pieces all over the floor, and the powers were quick to get up to see the commotion.

"Ashiya, stay behind. I'm going to check what's going on."

What they didn't realize was that they had left the room with the two people who should never be in each other's presence.

When the door had fully shut, Ashiya watched in horror as the Executive slowly sat up and walked towards him in a slow and eerie fashion, allowing the wood under his shoes to tremble and shake. The aura that had surrounded the Executive had grown, changing and manipulating the surroundings, forcing him to fall to his knees. He felt as if his own windpipe had been stripped and cut from his throat, and his lungs were doing the best they could to force as much air into him.

Just a few feet away stood the Executive in his usual white clothing, standing and staring at the boy crouched below him.

"You are not allowed to speak of this anywhere. Do you hear me?"
