Author's Note: I have noticed that in my stories, I seemed to be getting careless with minimal amounts of description. With the fact I am losing description and getting carried away with the shipping, I did take on a challenge. Descriptive writing of the scene where Ashiya unconsciously uses his influence on Yahiko. Their scene, my style challenge, maybe a part one I suppose. The scene is not mine, but I did use what the characters actually said and what they actually did. I read the manga while writing this to aim for accuracy. The manga was translated into english online.
The Yokai that stood before him, power, energy surging through its veins, rising into a much bigger, stronger form. Eyes black with yellow pupils glared at the boy, its muzzle facing him. He stumbled to the ground, hitting the wooden floor with a hard thud. His ears were ringing, as his eyes widened in horror. The air had tensed, his breathing had stilled, and his heart raced. However, just as the fear had approached, it dissipated in an instant.
Suddenly, the fear vanished, leaving little to nothing in it's trace. The shock had transformed into almost nothing. Emotions were crushed by the presence of the other, removing any fear within the boy. Lacking the strength to prevent this occurrence, his eyes readjusted. A dull blue filled his eyes as he felt energy surge not only around the being, but around him too.
Something about that felt wrong, but-right?
Spontaneously, he gestured his hand out, placing it on the white pelt of the fox the bright blue aura consuming him.
The Yokai's eyes widened in fear and in shock, and the places of the two emotions between the two had switched. It watched the boy stand up as the boy's aura penetrated the air, as it felt as if a cold, icy touch had dragged itself upon the mess.
"Revert."
His hand glowed with a power beyond his own control, and if he were to stop himself, he would; but alas, he could not. Panic shot through the fox as he could feel the boy's power surge through him.
As quick as lightning, the Yokai reverted to its smaller fox form, eyes widened with fear and horror.
"Sorry. Ashiya... I'm so sorry..."
The boy stepped closer, unable to control his own actions. He felt like a blinded prisoner, trapped in the thing he could control, but entirely out of reach. His gaze didn't falter as he stared at the traumatized Yokai.
"Please don't kill me..."
Even with the energy, the strength, the power, he gently patted it's head with a swift motion of his hand. His voice, thick, emotionless, almost, controlled. Unnatural.
"What are you talking about?"
He paused, his eyes devoid from his usual emotions, and his annoyance and anger, quickly surfacing.
"You're the one... who tried to kill... me."
His smile did not contain warmth and care, but a darker, fearful, and potential sadness within it. It scared the creature. It scared him that the person, could do such a thing. Yet, the creature did not understand.
At this point in time, the boy's hands were on the fox's cheeks, as he allowed the power he could not control to flow freely, away.
This human is... scary... If I don't obey him... He'll kill me.
Fluttering open, the door slammed open, revealing a blonde haired boy running in from the doorway. WIth a sudden and swift move, he kicked the the other away, pushing him to the ground with ease.
He had no knowledge or understandment of the situation, but... could it really be? Or could it really be, that he himself... is indeed, a dire threat?
