Chapter 3

     A Few Days Later...

John's POV
     I had been thinking about Alex a lot. I even stopped talking to my soulmate for a while, but it seemed like my soulmate had done the same. Even though I felt guilty for ignoring them, I couldn't stop thinking about Alex's soft hair, or violet blue eyes...
     "Okay, I need to get my mind off of him!" I exclaimed. I put in a earbud and started listening to some music.

I'm helpless!
Down for the count and I'm drowning in em!
I sighed. This isn't exactly what I had in mind. It was almost like this song was about me. It was a good song though. So...
I have never been the type to try and grab the spotlight
We were at a revel with some rebels on a hot night
Laughin' at my sister as she's dazzling the room
The you walked in and my heart went
Boom!
I thought back to when the group was at the bar. Lafayette had just made some sort of stupid joke, but when Alex laughed, I swore I could hear the butterflies in my stomach and the blush rise to my face.
Tryin' to catch your eye from the side of the ballroom
Everybody's dancin' and the band's top volume.
Grind to the rhythm as we wine and dine
Grab my sister and whisper "Yo, this one's mine,"
Last night, Hercules spoke to me privately.
"You like him, don't you?" He had asked. I said yes, there was no point lying about it. I just hadn't told him I was gay yet. But to my surprise, he said that he was cool with it and he liked Lafayette.
All of the sudden, the door to the dorm swung open. It was Alex. I quickly shut off the music.
"Hey whatcha thinking about?" He asked.
"Oh nothing..."
