Tomas didn't know how to react to Crank. He knew. He knew everything. His sister being the one that summoned the demons. Tomas could not imagine what Crank's agend was. Nobody had gotten a proper word out of the man in forever. Tomas sat across the mad man on one of the tables outside the tavern. One of the tavern girls served them ale. Crank grabbed the mug from the young girl and chugged the liquid down.
"Ok Crank, what is it that want?" Tomas asked
"I saw you. I saw you in the forest. You can kill those beasts." He said slowly slurring his words
"Keep your voice down!" Tomas hissed "Crank, I know that you saw me, but what is it that you want from me?"
"I saw the golden sword. I saw the golden girl," he continued
"Yes, yes, but Crank what is it that you want?!" Tomas continued to ask beginning to get desperate. If people found out that he could kill these beings he knew that he would not be able to make it to the capital to request help to find his sister. He threw Crank a bag of imperial credits.
"This what I have on me. I can give you more when I have it."
Crank slid the coins back to Tomas
"I saw where she went. I saw that you will stop her. I saw the heroes of the past" Crank began to sound different "The mountains beyond the seas of the south. I saw the demon lord assembling an army. I saw the golden girl," Cranks eyes began to change to a glowing blue. His veins began to change into the glowing lapis color.
"The demon lord must be stopped. Only a weapon soaked in the blood of the being. In the ancient castle of the demon king in the past, there will be a prize to save the world, or save yourself. The heroes of the past are gone. Let the hero of the present undo this treatcherous act!" Crank hissed. The older man began to flail about then all of a sudden the blue melted from his body He began to return to normal. He looked at Tomas.
"Hehehe! Tomas buy me a drink?" He said
Tomas was shocked. What just happened to Crank? What was that relevation? Save the world? What in the world was going on?
"Crank what was that you were saying? About the heroes?"
Crank looked confused
"Tomas? hehe! Golden swords, and castles in the sea! I see a golden girl in a melody!" The man sang out
Clearly Crank had gone back to being a crazy old man. Tomas needed to move. The longer he stayed in Hareg, the longer the demon army became more powerful. There wasn't another land coach coming to pick up to the capital due, and because of the demons he doubted that one would come. Tomas needed to move.
