When giving bad news, it's always best to tell the person that will, woefully, receive the bad news in a face to face conversation. Why, you may ask?

Well the reason being is when one reads bad news through say a letter, or a text message the news is always there. To haunt the person. They will re-read that damned letter or message and torture themselves to insanity.

Whereas, when you tell someone bad news, face to face, they only need hear it once.

But, of course, most people are unaware of this human decency act and chose to give the most horrendous news through letters.

So here Harry sat, in his beige living room, that had acquired a new hole in the wall - from Harry punching it - Scrunching the stupid, stupid, letter that Draco had written in his lovely, neat writing.

Fancy arse.

The letter had been crumpled many a times, it was almost dripping wet with Harry's tears.

But, how could you blame him? He had been abandoned yet again. Another lover lost in the wind, never to be found again.

He understands to an extent. But when he really thinks about it... he can't wrap his head around why. Why would Draco leave him.

After all the promises Draco made to Harry, after everything he told him, assured him of, he just vanished when things got too much for him. Poof! He's gone, just like a magician.

Bastard!

Harry was willing to give Draco everything.

After Ginny, Harry was truly and utterly devastated. His poor heart had been ripped out, tore to shreds, stitched back together - not very well mind you - and put back in his chest.

It took Harry three years to put his past behind him and finally try to move on.

Then he met Draco.

He was so sure that Draco was the one.

Draco made Harry happy.

He made him smile, and laugh like he had never done, not even with Ginny. He made him do things, explore things, he never would have attempted with Ginny.

He also knows,'It's not good to compare lovers', they say, and Harry knows that but he can't help it!

Draco was someone who he held so close to his heart. One of his most prized possessions.

They grew close after Harry admitted, finally, that his feelings had evolved, and thankfully at the time, Draco returned those feelings and they began... getting to know one another. Yes. Getting to know one another. To see if they where compatible.

They never dated. But everyone knew, it was them and they, not Draco and Harry, not anymore.

Draco was such a sweet guy, and Harry knew this.

Very romantic as well, might he add.

"Ad astra per aspera," He would say. It's Latin for 'To the stars through difficulties', so romantic he could swoon. He probably did the first time he heard it.

Draco told him that it meant, no matter the problem, like the starts, he would be a constant, and he hoped Harry would do the same for him too.

Of course Harry would! He was ready to love Draco.

Love.

L-O-V-E.

Four letters, and yet such a powerful meaning.

'Out of all the people could have ripped him to shreds, why on Earth did it have to be Draco?' He asked himself, every night.

He would scream, and cry, and sob, and brake things because 'Damnit Draco why did it have to be you!'

Because 'I let you in! I fucking let you in and you destroyed me!'

Because 'I told you how others had hurt me and you copied there methods! Damn you Draco!'

It was heartbreaking, to say the least.

Harry wonders how Draco is feeling right now.

How is he handling this?

Is he doing better than Harry; or is he doing worse.

Harry assumes it's worse.

He can't imagine having to live with the fact that you emotionally destroyed someone.

He sighs. A new habit of his, one might say.

He walks shakily over to his windowsill, he runs at his red, puffy eyes, and sits down. He looks up at the stars.

The stars will always be a constant, in that, Draco was right, but when he said that he would be a constant in Harry's life, he was so very wrong.

Maybe one day he and Harry will meet up and discuss what really happened. Maybe one day, they will finally understand stand.

Until then, Harry will sit on his windowsill, stare at the stars; admire their beauty, and whisper, "Ad astra per aspera, Draco."
