Chapter 15

"Be careful. Wait hold on. No step right here." Kylo said as he was helping you over bumps and weird edges in the ground. You could barely walk, whatever the government's scientists injected into you had you temporarily and slightly paralyzed. "Kylo, Kylo it's okay. I'm good." You chuckled as you walked up to the front door. "Are you sure you want that mask on when you see her? You'll probably scare the shit out of her." You said and Kylo shrugged, he couldn't care less and you knew it. "Okay... Here goes nothing." You inhaled deeply and knocked on Marie's door. It opened and there was a sickly and sluggishly looking Marie. Her eyes widened in disbelief when she saw you.

She instantly grabbed you and pulled you into a hug. You nearly fell over but Kylo kept a secure grip on your hips as he stood akwardly behind you whilst you hugged Marie. Marie then let you go, giving you back to Kylo to lean on for support. Marie looked around, making sure no one saw you and herself as well as the weird stranger that was helping you stand.

"Come in." She motioned frantically, both you and Kylo entered Marie's house. "You are so goddamn lucky my parents aren't here. Where the hell have you been? What is going on? I've seen you all over the news that you need to be turned in! Why? And who the hell is this?!" She said, it seemed that a million questions were spewing out of her mouth in a matter of seconds. "Marie. Marie! Please, let me explain." You said to which she quieted down. "You're not going to believe me but I need you to, okay? You know you're the closest person to me in the entire universe, so everything that I am telling you is the truth and nothing but the truth." You said as you sat down. Kylo stood idly next to your side.

Marie was very wary of Kylo but she kept her attention on you as you explained what was happening. "So you're telling me, that a bunch of aliens from another galaxy, landed near my aunt's planet, so you helped them out. Then the government found out and are now hunting you?!" She asked and you put a finger to your mouth. "Okay one they're humans just not born on Earth, but other than that... Uh yeah pretty much." You shrugged and Marie just stared at you like you were crazy as she scratched the back of her neck. "Are you sure I'm not dreaming?" Marie asks and you slightly laugh, "I almost wish I was." To which Kylo looked down at you and you raised your hands in defense. "I said almost!"

"So why are you here? Don't you know you're endangering yourself by being here? We've been interrogated over the past few days more times than I can count." Marie says and you nod. "I figured so but I came here to say goodbye. Marie... It's too dangerous for me here on Earth and after what the government has done to me in less than 24 hours scares me. Who knows what they could do over days or years. I will be hunted by them for as long as I stay here." You explain and Marie looked at you worriedly. "What are you saying?" Marie asked, her voice cracking and you knew she was going to cry. "Marie.. I'm saying that I'm leaving the Earth. Not dying but going to another galaxy beyond our own. After I leave I'll never be able to return. And I wanted my last goodbye to someone on Earth to be you. Marie I can never give enough thanks to you for everything you have done for me. And I want you to come with me but I know you can't just leave this all behind.." You explain and you watch as tears roll down Marie's cheeks.

You began to tear up yourself. You found strength to stand on your own and hug her. You hated having to say goodbye but you knew deep down it wouldn't be right if you had never said goodbye to Marie. "Why can't you just stay here, hide on Earth?" Marie whispers and you sigh. "I have abilities I don't understand, but Kylo understands them and I need to know what is going on. And staying here... I just don't see my future here on Earth anymore. I would say I have nothing left here but I have you here, otherwise I would truely have nothing here." You said as you had pulled away, looking Marie in the eyes, you and herself started to cry and you hugged her again, you both hugged each other so tight if it had lasted any longer you both would have passed out from the lack of air.

"We need to go Y/N. They'll find us here if we stay too long." Kylo said, his deep and robotic mask cutting through the quiet filled room. You pulled away again from Marie and you smiled sadly. "I love you Marie." You said and she shook her head "I love you too you weirdo." She said as she sobbed harder. You turned to leave but Marie interjected you.

"Wait! Y/N please let me go with you." She said as she grabbed your arm. You looked at her and then at Kylo. You were unsure of what to say, you were so shocked by her wanting to go with you. "Marie your life is here. Not out there." You said and Marie shook her head. "My life is with you Y/N, with my sister, my true family. Y/N I don't think I could live a life where you weren't in it. Please." Marie pleaded, her grip on you tighten as she begged. You looked at Kylo and you heard him exhale. You turned back to Marie. "Listen, Marie, if you come with us, out in Kylo's galaxy you will be in danger. In his galaxy he is fighting a war, in which one side of the war he leads. You need to understand that you will be safer here than if you go with me." You explained and Marie nodded. "I understand, but I am going with you. You don't get to go see outer space without me." Marie said and you both laughed lightly through your tears. You turned to Kylo and gave him a wondering look, as if to ask him, 'Well can she go?'

Kylo sighed and nodded. "Fine she can go but if she gets in the way I'm putting her in the holding cell." Kylo said and you smiled excitedly at Marie, you could tell just by the look on her face she was doing backflips on the inside. "I promise I won't get in the way." Marie said to Kylo. "Let's go." Kylo said as he reached for the doorknob to the front of the house. But Kylo suddenly stopped.

"Wait. There's someone out there."
