Katie's POV

I can barely control my emotions.
I get to go home WITH RILEY BY MY SIDE.
I'm so happy. At the same time, though, I'm upset that he decided to make that decision without telling me.
Riley gets to go home today since he didn't have surgery, but I have to stay here for about a week to recover.
Over the next week, I am recovering. Riley, Gavyn, Lindsay, Abby, and my mom visit me almost every day during visitation hours.
The day I am finally released, everyone is acting strange.
Gavyn and Lindsay are giggly and Riley seems to be hiding something.
When they discharge me from my room and we get in the car, I can hear Gavyn snickering.
"What the hell is going on?! I feel like I'm missing something here," I shout at him.
He just innocently looks at me and shrugs with a smirk that seems to permanently be stuck on that stupid face of his.
When we pull up to the drive way, I practically have to push myself to move.
"Here let me help you," Riley says.
He quickly opens his door and runs around to the passenger door to open it for me.
"Thank yo.." I stumble out of the car. I'm completely exhausted.
I feel like a doormat.
Riley catches me before I hit the ground, walking up the stairs and gives me a piggyback ride to my room.
He opens the door and that's when I notice the candles and rose petals.
He puts me down and I walk up to the bed, where a note is laying.
I have always dreamed of growing old with you. We have been together for almost 7 years now and the fact that I found myself willing to die for you only makes me more sure of one thing. I love you and it will always be you. You have my heart. I know we are still young, and we can wait as long as you need. However, I can't go another day without doing this. Turn around.

I turn around, a bit confused, and see him down on one knee.
"Kathryn Medford. I promise I will love you for the rest of eternity. From the day we first met, I have felt as though you would be important to me one day. Now I know that I was right. Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
"Yes."
Next thing I know I hear the the sound of the biggest baby in the world, crying. "IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!! MY TWO BEST FRIENDS ARE GOING TO GET MARRIED!!"
Gavyn is standing in the doorway beside my two other cry babies.
Riley and I laugh and Gavyn continues to sob. He blows his nose loudly and runs away crying.
God I love my friends. 😂
