Rod is one of our proofreader and author coordinator. Siya yung isa sa mga kumo-kontak sa authors ng aming company.
Authors decide which design should be used in their covers. Pag matanda na ang author, and cover na gusto nila ay abstract or painting about the theme of their book, pag naman bata pa ang author, they want some photographers to do the work.
That's why I love going to meetings, lahat ng book cover designer ay may mga proposals. Book covers should be enticing, yung unang tingin mo pa lang gusto mo na bilhin.
Other than that, proofreaders revise the whole novel, story or series with the supervision of the author.
Hindi pwedeng magtanggal ang proofreader ng isang scene sa book dahil baka masira ang content, kailangan niya muna lumapit sa author at alamin ang key parts ng novel.
Lunch break na namin at bumaba na ako sa cafeteria namin.
One thing I love about our company is the cafeteria. Philippine food at its finest! Though we have to pay for it monthly na parang subscription sa netflix at spotify, sulit naman dahil you can eat anything you want.
Pumila na ako sa counter para ma-swipe ko na yung cafeteria card ko. Dun mamomonitor kung ano yung kinakain mo at kung ilang carbs yung meron. Ang CEO kasi namin, vegan, gusto niya lahat kami maging vegan din which is impossible kaya ayan may card kami para madetermine kung ilang carbs nako-consume namen araw-araw.
After ko mag-lunch, umakyat na ko ulit sa office para mag proofread at icheck ang mga upcoming events.
Natapos ako ng 6 pm at napagdesisyunan kong pumunta sa mall, I need to buy stuffs for Thursday's event.
10 minutes away lang naman ang mall kaya sa jeep na ko sumakay. Haaay.. it's been a while since I rode one.

I went inside 'Fiona's' this shop is known for it's intricate and on point designs. It'll make you look so good.
"Good Evening, Ma'am. What kind of gown are you looking for?" the store manager assisted me right away kahit kakapasok ko pa lang.
I explained her the gown I want to have for Thursday.
Di naman ako nagkaroon ng problema, I fell in love to the gown she picked actually. I immediately paid it by my card and it will be delivered tomorrow morning, in my condo.
After that, naghanap ako ng stilettos na babagay sa gown.
After 20minutes of choosing, I've decided to choose something simple yet elegant.
