Chapter Twenty Eight

Bela's eyes are filled with tears but she silently nodes in yes and goes to washroom. Mahir too goes to his room and goes inside the washroom. Both are standing under showers in their respective washrooms and crying.

Behir: Ye kya ho gaya? Ye sab itna ajeeb kyu hua? Ham kitne khush the toh fir ye sab aise kyu hua? Bhagwaan please hame ek kardo. Ab hamse ye doori saha nahi jaata.

Bela: Mai janti hu Mahir mujhse gussa hai lekin mai use manalungi. Mere pyar use mere paas wapas layega.

Bela gets out of shower and gets ready. She goes to Mahir's room and sees Mahir is shirtless and is in towel only. And the most shocking thing is, he is hugging Anu like that. Bela feels bad and runs to her room crying. She recalls how playful and naughty they were in childhood and how she allowed Mahir to get inside her room when she is changing.

Bela: Mahi i miss you... I miss us! Please forgive me. My guilt is eating me up. Please forgive me.

Bela sits on the bed and suddenly recalls something.

Flashback.

Mahir is drawing in his room when Bela enters and sees him busy. But seeing her, Mahir stops drawing.

Mahir: Sona tum yaha ayi ho? Tumne lunch kiya?

Bela: Mahi mai tumhare bina kabhi lunch ki kya? Chalo mujhe bhook lagi hai.

Mahir: Tumhe pata hai tum jab aise mujhpe apna haq jatati ho toh mujhe bahut accha lagta hai.

Bela: Aur mujhe tumpe apna haq jatana accha lagta hai. Aakhir tum mere hubby jo ho!

Mahir: Hubby? Its so cute my dear wifey!

Bela: Tumse zyada cute nahi.

Mahir: Accha chalo khana khane chalte hai.

Bela: Ok.

Behir sit on the table and look at dishes.

Mahir: Mujhe ye saare dishes bahut pasand hai. Sona tum bade hokar ye sab dishes banana seekhogi?

Bela: Mai kyu seekhu? Tum mujhe cook banana chahte ho?

Mahir: Nahi sona... Ghar pe ham ek accha sa cook rakhenge jo hamare lie tasty tasty khana banayenge lekin jab kabhi mai tumse naraz ho ju toh tum mujhe manane ke lie aise dishes banake apne hathon se khilaogi toh mai maan jaunga.

Bela: Sacchi Mahi? Tab mai zarur sikhungi. I love you Mahi.

Mahir: I love you too sona.

Flashback ends.

Bela: Mujhe yaad hai kaise tumne mujhse kaha tha ki mai ye sab apne hathon se banakar tumhe khilaun toh tum maan jaoge. Mai abhi tumhare lie sab banaungi.

Bela goes to kitchen and sees Sumi is arranging ingredients to prepare breakfast.

Bela: Maa... Mai aaj breakfast banaungi.

Sumi: Bela uski zarurat nahi hai. Tum bas aram karo.

Bela: Nahi Maa... Pls mujhe banane dijiye.

Sumi says no but seeing Bela insisting so much, she agrees and leaves kitchen. Bela starts preparing all the dishes and soon she prepares all the breakfast. She herself arranges the table and calls everyone to come for breakfast.

Everyone including Mahir and Anu come down for breakfast.

Mahir: Maa, aaj kuch khaas hai kya? Mujhe bahut accha accha smell aa rahe hai.

Sumi: Aaj khana bela ne banaya hai...

Mahir: Bela tum kyu itni mehnat ki ho?

Bela: Its ok Mahi... Mujhe bas mann kiya.

Bela serves food in a plate and goes near Mahir and is about to feed him when Mahir stops her.

Mahir: Tumne khaya?

Bela nodes in no.

Bela: Tumhare bina khaane ka mann nahi kiya.

Mahir: Toh ab khalo.

Mahir takes the spoon from Bela's hand and feeds her making Bela happy. He makes Bela have her food and then he keeps the plate.

Bela: Mahi tum nahi khaoge?

Mahir: Maa, mujhe aaj ghar ke khaana khane ka mann nahi hai. Mai bahar jaake khaa raha hu.

Bela: Mahi kya hua tum ghar pe kyu nahi khaoge?

Mahir, ignoring Bela's words, says : Tum aa rahi ho na mere sath?

Anu: Haa Mahir. Mai aa rahi hu. Chalo.

Anu holds Mahir's hand and both go outside shocking Bela. She starts crying and runs to her room. She closes the door and falls on the bed crying.

Bela: Mujhse tum itna gussa ho ki mere hath ka banaya khana tumne chua tak nahi? Mahi i am really sorry. Please maaf kardo. I want you back. I really want you back in my life.

Bela drifts into sleep while crying. Here Sumitra and Andy feel bad about the situation Behir are facing. The whole family is really upset. Mahir and Anu return in the evening when Sumitra asks Mahir.

Sumitra: Mahir kaha tha tu ab tak?

Mahir: Mai Anu ke sath bahar gaya tha.

Sumi: Subah tere jaane ke baad Bela rote hue gayi thi apne kamre me. Abhi tak nikli nahi.

Mahir: Aur aap ye mujhe abhi bata rahe ho? Pata nahi wo thik hai bhi ya nahi.

Mahir runs to Bela's room and knocks on it but since Bela is sleeping, she doesn't hear it. Mahir finds the door open and enters to see Bela peacefully sleeping. He takes a deep breath and comes out of the room. In the evening, Bela wakes up and sees Mahir, Anu and Mahir's parents happily gossiping.

Mahir sees Bela and goes to her.

Mahir: Bela tum thik ho na?

Bela: Mahi tum kab aaye?

Mahir: Mai thode der pehle aaya tha but yeah... Come down stairs. I have an important announcement.

Bela: Kaisa announcement?

Mahir: Tum chalo toh sahi...

Mahir holds Bela's hand and takes her to the hall. He makes her sit on the couch beside Anu and then he turns towards his parents.

Mahir: Maa, baba, mai shaadi karna chahta hu dubara.

Sumi: Sach? Ye toh bahut acchi baat hai.

Mahir then extends his hand towards Bela and says, "Mujhse shaadi karogi?"
