The next day, Chris took two bentos, for lunch, to school. He took one for himself and another for Jiro. The one he had yesterday wasn't spicy enough, so he requested the hottest peppers known to man be put in the food.

Today was a very special day. It was the day of another special class like the combat training. Chris would worry about that later. He was bored because he had plenty of time until he would be late for school, so he decided to try something.

"Where's the mirror?"

Chris eventually found a mirror. When he grabbed it, he looked directly into his own eyes and activated his quirk. Everything around him went dark. Chris tried to discern something in the darkness, but couldn't find anything.

No matter what, nothing would appear. It also meant he couldn't deactivate his quirk because he couldn't see the mirror. He was finally snapped out of his quirk when someone started shaking him. Looking around, he saw someone he didn't recognize with their hand on his shoulder.

"Sorry, boss, but you were just standing there. You weren't responding to what I was saying. You are almost late for school."

Chris quickly grabbed his things and thanked the subordinate before he teleported to school.

When he arrived, he heard a shriek. Chris turned to see Jiro sitting in her desk...right in front of Chris. He had teleported to the spot right in front of the purple-haired girl. Without speaking, Chris gave Kyoka one of the bentos he brought with him to school.

"I thought you would like some. seeing as you enjoyed it yesterday."

Chris then went to his seat before he could hear a response from the girl. When he got to his seat, the bell rang, and Mr. Aizawa showed up at the door and made his way to the podium at the front of the room.

"Today, we will be heading to a facility to practice rescue training. This time around, you will be supervised by myself, All Might, and one other."

There was some commotion until their homeroom teacher quieted them by glaring intently at them.

"Grab your hero suits if you want and get on the bus outside of the building."

Chris didn't have a hero suit, so he just wore the gym clothes he had. They were more mobile than his uniform, so he went with them for that singular aspect.

Once everyone was outside, Iida started corralling them onto the bus. They were all lined up in seat order. Iida was upset that the bus wasn't the kind he thought, and his attempt to seat everyone failed.

Chris had a seat to himself and decided to take advantage of it. Since he didn't get enough sleep the previous night, he tried to get some sleep on the bus. The keyword was tried. The demonic presence of the people in his head kept him awake. That and their constant pestering. It was the same as usual, except they brought up something new.

"Face it, you will eventually go insane."

Chris paid very close attention after it was said.

"What does that mean?"

The four people shared looks of excitement.

"That quirk you have. You can drive anybody you look at insane at the cost of your mental health. You will have enemies that are stronger than you and will have to use it on them to stand a chance. The chance being you taking away their quirk."

Chris hated to admit it, but Tyler was right. How much he hated he was right. Chris hated someone being more right than he was, it was just how he was. Chris noticed soon after Tyler spoke that the class arrived at the USJ.
