"rastic change. Only those who can leave behind everything they have ever believed in can hope to escape."

William S. Burroughs

There is true sadness is hopelessness. Sadness isn't a single bad thing that happened to you. While falling is hurtful and sad, the depth of sadness  can truly be felt when one is hopeless. The Greek story of the first woman shows this well. While the sexist ideas were extremely horrible, Greek story of the first woman shows while every horrible thing was unleashed on human one thing that humans can always relie on is hope. As such, humanity had known for a long time that hopelessness is true torture for humans.
No man can live and be sane without hope. Rose never truly understood this until the moment when her breathe was getting shallower every second. When every day her body, especially her head hurt more and more. She had to admit to herself that she had thought she would find some way to escape. That something would happen in her favour, she had never been completely without any way of living.
This time had seemed different from the start but she truly didn't think she would die. Now, as time grew longer and longer and the strigoi simply keep her alive for amusement she couldn't hold on to hope.

She had thought they needed her and that's why she was kept alive but from listening to them for the last few days or weeks she didn't know, she was sure they were toying with her. Her death was fixed from the second they found her.
They wanted to punish Abe for what he had done.

She wasn't needed meaning she was as good as dead.

She kept trying to keep herself alive and well but did it matter? Should she just give up? Listen to her body telling her to let go?
