Hamilton felt his breath hitch at the sound of footsteps coming down the hall.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five-almost there.
Six.
Seven-getting closer.
Eight.
Nine.
Hamilton watched as the door opened, only this time a familiar face accompanied Adriene in the room. André.
“My, my, have the love birds finally snapped?” Adriene teased.
“Shut up, you have no idea what you’re talking about!” Laurens snapped, keeping up his facade when in reality, each word was chipping off a bit of him.
“Ooh, feisty! I don’t think it’s wise to talk back to me after you hit your boyfriend.”
“Ex-boyfriend,” Hamilton corrected.
André just stood there awkwardly by Adriene’s side, wondering what could’ve happened to Hamilton and Laurens’ relationship, but that didn’t mean it upset him. No, he was ecstatic on the inside. His hear fluttered when he learned of this. He finally, finally had a chance! Just the thought of holding Hamilton took his breath away. He would do anything to ensure his chance, anything.
“Quick to correct him,” Laurens scoffed.
“Oh please, he’s associating me with you, anyone would be quick to correct him.”
“Not Lafayette.”
“Oh, you did not-”
“Oh, I did. He was much more enjoyable-he was everything you could never be! Quiet, kind, lovable, and actually hot.”
“So, you did cheat? I knew it you mother-”
“GENTLEMEN!” Adriene boomed. “Spare some decency, my word! Now, I originally came here to get information before I heard the sound of skin slapping skin. Now, let’s get on with it for God's sake.”
André kept his head down before walking out, and that’s when it clicked. It all came together. That voice in the beginning, the one that called Hamilton for spying on their conversation, that was André! He was here, he was a spy. How didn't he notice?
Hamilton’s head snapped up at the feeling at someone playing with his curly hair. He saw Adriene smiling down at him.
“Let’s pick up where we left off shall we?” Adriene asked, already kneeling down and pulling Hamilton onto him.
“What about Laurens?”
“Don’t worry baby, I’ve got people covering him.”
“Good.” Hamilton said pushing their lips together.
Adriene smirked and kissed back, deepening the kiss.
André sighed as he looked at Laurens tied up in the same bloody dentist chair with leather shackles. He almost felt bad, key word almost. He wasn’t completely heartless, he felt sympathy for the poor boy. He had been in the middle of an important mission when he was taken, and with that came the challenges of surviving and keeping a healthy relationship. He wasn’t dumb, he saw how Laurens looked at Hamilton. How his eyes shined with admiration and pride. How his cheeks would flush when Hamilton would kiss him, you would think he their relationship was still in the ‘new and cute’ phase. But André also knew this man took away his loved one. The one he was sure was his destined soulmate. Every time he began to feel sorry for him, he just repeated ‘remember, he stole him from you’.
He stepped closer and watched as Laurens flinched away from him. Laurens eyes were filled with fright and anger, making a deadly combination.
Hamilton laid next to Adriene sweating and panting. The room smelled like sweat and it disgusted Hamilton to know what caused the room to smell this way. Hamilton could hear Adriene's breaths and his movements. Hamilton looked up at the ceiling, blinking back salty tears. His mind was still in shock, holding up blank even as he felt sticky arms wrap around his small waist.
“Wasn’t that fun, Lexi?” Adriene asked, holding Hamilton tighter, his hands hanging dangerously far down his back.
“Y-yes, sir.” Hamilton chocked out, facing away from Adriene.
“Mmm, what a good boy,” Adriene said, gripping Hamilton tighter. “You’re mine.”
Hamilton whimpered and cautiously brought his hand up to his neck and winced, the newly marked bruises being tender. Hamilton felt tears well up in eyes again, and this time he didn’t hold them back. He silently cried in Adriene’s arms, running a hand down his sore body, touching all of the marks that were meant to be signs of love and trust. Not, fright and hurt.
Eventually, Adriene’s breaths evened out and his grip on Hamilton loosened. Hamilton took a deep breath as he slowly wiggled his way out of that monster’s grip, but as soon as he attempted to stand on his own, his legs gave out and he fell on the cold floor. Hamilton cringed at the noise, ignoring the pain, and attempted to stand again but still getting the same results. After being malnourished, beaten, and raped for God knows how many days, it wasn’t to say he wasn’t expecting it, he just didn’t hope for it.
Hamilton crawled around the unfamiliar room, for Adriene had taken him to a different room to do their business, looking for Adriene’s pants. Sighing when he couldn’t find it, he decided he should probably put something on seeing as he was naked. Hamilton quickly found his dirty, tattered uniform and threw it on,careful to be as silent as humanely possible, before going back to trying to find the pants with the keys.
“Lexi,” Hamilton heard Adriene mumble and he froze, slowly standing up, gripping the bedside table to see if he was awake. A wave of relief rushed over Hamilton once he saw Adriene still fast asleep.
C’mon, c’mon! Hamilton mentally pleaded, wanting to get out of this hell as soon as possible.
“Yes!” He whispered. He found the pair under the bed.
Hamilton dug them out and searched the pockets before seeing a glimmer of something. Too caught up in excitement, he didn’t hear the bed creak or the bedside table open.
Hamilton’s breath hitched as felt something hard and cold being shoved to the back of his head. A gun.
“Look what we have here.”
