"No matter the cost you say, we shall see how this turns out,"
....
Hamilton woke up the next morning to yelling outside of his cell. So since they had so kindly provided Hamilton with a conversation, he was all ears.
"He wouldn't know anything!" a voice, the one from yesterday, yelled.
"But, he's close to the Colonel!" someone, a familiar voice, said. They must not have been from Britain because they didn't have an accent like the others.
"Exactly! Laurens might've told him and since he's in a lower rank he might spill easier,"
"Laurens wouldn't tell, he honors his position too much,"
"But if Hamilton asked, he might tell, he prizes Hamilton too much," the oddly familiar voice said, but his voice faded at the end. A silhouette caught a glimpse of Hamilton. Hamilton shrunk back in fear of what they might do since he was caught. The silhouette walked to the front of the cell.
"Well, what do we have here," the voice said. "Boss, we got a spy!" he called. Another figure walked over, presumably the boss.
"Spying on our conversations, are we?" the voice from yesterday asked, for the first time stepping into the faded light. The light revealed his features.
He had short, beach blond hair, shaved at the sides, and almond eyes that were an ice blue that faded into green near the center. His face included a sharp jaw line, an upturned nose, thin lips, and pale skin.
"Who are you?" Hamilton asked.
"The names Adriene," he said with a smirk. Before the conversation could continue they were interrupted.
"Alex, shut up I'm tired," Laurens whined, completely forgetting the current situation. Alex, despite being face-to-face with his captor, was offended. Had he really talked so much that Laurens first instinct was to tell him to shut up? Not even going to help him out? Wow.
"Sorry, go back to sleep," Hamilton shushed.
Adriene stepped closer to Hamilton, who tensed as Adriene lifted his chin up. Their faces were only inches away. "My, my, aren't you a cutie, so fiery, so determined," Adriene cooed, taking his other hand and tracing the smaller male's jawline. Hamilton refused to back down and glared.
Laurens, on the other hand, shot up and frantically looked around. Someone had just called his Alex cute, what did you expect? Laurens spotted Alex and a man, only a few inches away from each others faces.
"Hands off!" Laurens growled. Adriene's head snapped around to meet Laurens' gaze.
"Why would I do that?"
"Because he's not yours, he's mine!"
"Lieutenant Hamilton is not anyone's property," Adriene taunted.
"I'm sure he doesn't appreciate you touching him," Laurens spat.
"Let him speak for himself," Adriene shot back. Both men looked at Hamilton expectantly.
Hamilton looked at Laurens. Then, he looked at Adriene, then to his lips, and continued to look between the two images. Slowly, Hamilton leaned in, letting his eyes flutter shut. Adriene smirked and leaned in as Laurens watched in horror, tears threatening to spill. Adriene's hand snaked its way around Hamilton's waist as their lips almost met.
"Go to h-" Hamilton whispered, just loud enough for Laurens to hear without straining too much. Adriene opened his eyes and shushed Hamilton before he could continue.
"Save your breath," he spat, narrowing his eyes. "You'll need it,"he warned. Hamilton smirked in victory as Adriene left.
Laurens smiled at his lover, and turned his head to the side, signaling Hamilton to come over. Hamilton scooted over and gave his lover a warm smile.
"Did you actually think I was going to do it?" Hamilton asked in a hushed voice.
"Psh, no, I know you're loyal," Laurens awkwardly stated, his voice cracking.
"Yeah, right! You have tears dripping down your face," Hamilton teased.
"There's just a lot of dust in here!"
"So, if I were to kiss him you wouldn't be mad? I mean if you're okay with that then I would've done it! He's kinda cute! If he wasn't our captor, I'd definitely ask for his number," Hamilton rambled.
"No! You can't! I mean if you were to actually kiss him that's a different story, but I knew you weren't gonna! Do you really think he's cute? Like, cuter than me?"
"I was kidding!". "He is kind cute though," Hamilton mumbled. Laurens glared at him. "Aw, is someone jealous?".
"No, just when we get out of here I'm gonna murder him so he can't take you away from me,"
"Wow, yandere much?"
"Only for you my dear, only for you,"
"My one and only yandere,"
"My one and only senpai,"
Hamilton blushed at the nickname and buried his face into Laurens chest.
"Who gets to tease the other now?" Laurens stated, a smirk spreading across his face.
"You ruined the lovey dovey moment,"
"That is my specialty,"
"I know, I remember our first 'date',"
"Oh yeah," Laurens stated laughing nervously.
