Chanyeol couldn't believe it.

Year's of searching and he'll find out that his family is just one city away from him!

All thanks his friend Jongin's connections, he found out where Baekhyun is working at. One of Jongin's previous flings work in the same company as his ex, and it became easier to find the smaller's address.

The navigation led Chanyeol in an alley where an apartment building is located. He parked his car adjacent to the said building and for a second, Chanyeol doubted the address his friend gave him. The building looks quite old and there are no security cameras around, not even a guard on the entrance.

No. Baekhyun wouldn't raise my kid in this kind of place--

His thoughts were cut by the sight of Baekhyun, walking from the corner of the street, carrying a bag of which he thinks are groceries in one arm, and their little girl on the other who's now minding her own business with her ice cream. His doubt has vanished when his family actually entered the building.

Chanyeol wanted to curse but he can't. He have no rights to tell Baekhyun which place to raise their child for he is the useless dad among them two. And needless to say that their kid grew up well. Baekhyun is doing a great job as a single dad.

The thought made Chanyeol feel bitterness and stabs of pain inside his chest.

He should've done better.

But there's no point of crying over a spilled milk. All Chanyeol should do is to make up with his mistakes. But, he should apologize to Baekhyun first.

He should earn the smaller's forgiveness first and foremost.

The first thing Chanyeol did that morning is to file his vacation leave effective for five days. This is unethical but Chanyeol being the team lead has his perks. He couldn't wait any longer especially now that he knows where Baekhyun lives with their daughter. He will make sure that this week won't end without him at least taking a step inside their apartment-and hopefully, in their lives.

He made sure he's right on time to park his car near the apartment building before Baekhyun leaves for work. He heard from Jongin that Baekhyun's work starts at eight in the morning and ends by five. Baekhyun's probably leaving their daughter in a Nursery or Day Care Center nearby and he needs to know where it is.

About fifteen minutes after he parked his car, he finally saw the familiar sight he badly wants to see the most. Baekhyun appeals so elegant in his long sleeves tucked inside his tight black pants while their daughter looks so cute in her pink dress and tiny denim sleeves, paired with her purple backpack. Her hair is waving freely in her shoulders while the colorful clips prevent the little hair from covering her eyes.

She's really a tiny version of Baekhyun. No doubt.

Chanyeol hurriedly went out of the car and locked it safe before walking fast to follow where the two went. Baekhyun is obviously having a hard time controlling their hyper little girl and it made Chanyeol smile at the sight. Another turn to the corner and Chanyeol again quickened his steps. He couldn't afford to lose sight of his family.

It took them more than ten minutes of walking before a small Day Care Center caught Chanyeol's sight. He had no problem with the long walk Baekhyun is making their daughter do for he bets the smaller considers it as an exercise.

He hid in the corner when the two crossed the street and stopped in front of the Center. Chanyeol longingly watched as Baekhyun knelt on one step of the stairs while their daughter is about two steps up. He's probably giving her reminders by the way she cutely nods every now and then, listening attentively to what Baekhyun is saying.
