She Cheated
I love my boyfriend so much. He's the center of my own solar system. Out of all planets, stars, asteroids, comets, and other celestial bodies, I only revolve around him. He's my sun.
But one thing I don't like and can't love about him is his insensitivity. He doesn't realize the little things that could hurt me so badly. Call me sensitive, shallow or whatsoever but damn, but whatever he does and whatever he says can definitely break me.
"Hazel, tingnan mo oh. Ang ganda niya 'no?" He showed a picture of his new workmate, one morning, when I visited his house.
The said picture was posted from Facebook. The woman on it, named Karen Salvador, was at a beach wearing a sunny dress, sunglasses and flat slippers.
It wasn't supposed to be a big deal. But the way he introduced the woman was like Jude is her proud boyfriend. Like I wasn't his girl. Like it won't hurt the hell out of me.
But darn, if he only knew how it freaking ripped my heart into pieces and how his words insecure me.
Why is he so insensitive? Can't he see how I'm torn right now?
Controlling my tears, I managed to nod. "Ah oo, maganda nga."
"Kung ganyan ka sana kaganda at ka-sexy, edi sana ako na ang pinakaswerteng lalaki sa mundo," he half-joked as he trailed his eyes all over my body. He suddenly winced in disappointment. "Kaso hindi e, walang-wala ka kay Karen, babe. Ba't hindi mo subukang magpapayat man lang? Mukha ka nang balyena oh. Hindi ka ba nahihiya sa sarili mo?"
I bit my lower lip. I tried to gulp the lump inside my throat and said, "W-Wag kang mag alala, mag-gym ako bukas."
Saturday naman bukas e, day-off ko sa trabaho.
He nodded, smirking. "Buti naman."
"G-Gusto mo sumama?"
Suddenly, his eyebrows furrowed and his nose crinkled. "Para saan pa? Kaya mo nang mag-isa 'yan, babe. Baka makita pa ako ng mga barkada ko ro'n, mapahiya pa ako."
I forced a smile. "Sige... aalis na rin pala ako, babe. I love you."
"Oh, sige na. I love you too."
I left his house with a heavy heart and a wrenching pain in my chest as thoughts started crowding my mind.
Why is he so heartless? Is he ashamed of my body or rather... having me as his girlfriend?
The thought of that hurt me even more. But despite that, I still followed what he wanted and went to the gym the next day.
And there I met Andrei, a gym instructor and the son of the owner of the gym.
"One, two, three, four..." I counted, panting, as I push myself from the floor simultaneously.
"Need any help?"
A pair of feet wearing blue sneakers and black socks suddenly appeared on my side which caused me to stop pushing up.
I heavily flopped on the floor, chasing every breath I take. That's the time I glanced at the guy standing near my head.
He's wearing blue jersey shorts and black sando, flaunting his broad chest and well-toned biceps. His stubbles, thick eyebrows, pointed nose, chiseled jawline and natural pink lips added masculinity in his facial features.
I gulped.
Damn, he's an epitome of a Greek god!
Without breaking our eye contact, he squatted and gently damped the clean towel on my forehead. My body froze. This time, his eyes were focused on wiping my sweat.
