I really hope I can stay on top of this but if I missed a day, imma keep going on this little ride!
Favorite RA book?
This is an extremely hard question to answer. I love them all to pieces. It's much easier to say the ones I'm not completely in love with. My top choices would have to be either The Burning Bridge, The Battle For Skandia, Erik's Ransom, and Halt's Peril. Let me explain.
The Burning Bridge is really a great book because it shows kids sacrificing their freedom (and potentially their lives) for their country. It shows kids can think on their own and don't need to be constantly looked down on because of our age. It's just a real great book with several sides going on and it's awesome!
The Battle For Skandia has such a great moment when Will, Evenlyn, Halt, And Horace get reunited. The best part is the emotion shown between Will And Halt because they are just such precious characters and they both sacrificed so much to finally get to see each other again. Also I'm rather sure the Temuji are the biggest threat Will, Halt, and Horace have ever had. The Temuji are the biggest (in numbers), meanest, most skillful enemy I think they ever face and I love the battle tactics in this book.
Erak's Ransom takes us to a new land, we meet Selethen, who I absolutely love and we see Erak again, who I also love. I love how to beginning has most characters together at Halt and Pauline's wedding, it's just so nice to get those peaceful moments when lovable characters are together and are happy. I really love how all the characters get real close to death and are so strong and how Will saves them all.
Halt's Peril is quite gut wrenching. You know Halt isn't going to die but all the emotion just makes you think so every time you read the book.
