I know a lot of people are worried about the actors and what they will look like and how the movie will wreck peoples view of them, etc. I never have pictured them fully, I get through books extremely well without imagining what they actually look like, I just find it extremely hard. I'm just impatient. More just excited to see what they do with it and if they ruin it I will SPEAK PUT MY OPINIONS AND DEFEND MY PRECIOUS BABIES.
I guess that it does well. I really really really want it to do well and to exceed above and beyond expectations. Right now you can hardly find anything on it except the writers, director, budget and when it's suppose to start filming.
I guess probably Halt's accent is extremely important to me because John Keating (the guy who narrates in the audio books) does such a wonderful job with the voices and Halt is perfect. Probably why I love him so much is because Keating gives it sarcasm, dark and threatening, casual, in pain, etc SO WELL. Everyone else sounds good but Halt is great.
I really want the horses to be really well trained and not CGI like that horse from the second Jumanji cuz for someone who has grown up with horses that thing was creepy and weird. I want the characters to have the same kind of light humor/seriousness that they have in the books, you can know what I mean but I can't explain but I think it's really hard to express in film. Another thing I'm anxious for is how they will handle how much the books handle the looks in their eyes, facial expressions, etc. I know actors can be great at that but the books are deep in thought and logic and feel like it hits thin air when it comes to a movie but I'm anxious to see how they succeed or ruin it. Regardless, assume a FULL review when it's in theaters
