As quick as her moms smile appeared, Alessya's disappeared, "what?" Was all she could say, not fully able to comprehend what her mother just announced.

"I said.. we're moving!" Her mothered tried announcing once more, but her enthusiasm wasn't all there this time around, seeing as her daughter wasn't as happy as she thought she'd be.

"What do you mean we're moving?" Alessya questioned, her eyes brimming with tears. Her emotions conflicted at this point, not knowing what to feel.

"Well your father got a huge promotion, and it'll be good for us, but the only issue is they're relocating him." Alessya's mom explained as she wrapped her arms around her husband, lying her head on his chest.

Alessya couldn't do anything but send a glare in her fathers direction, "ok so what, like are we moving to New York or something??" She asked as she tried to bite back the tears, "because that's no problem, I mean it's only like a three hour drive away from everyo-"

"We're moving to Canada," her dad finally spoke up, cutting off Alessya from finishing her sentence.

"W-what, Canada?" Alessya questioned, taken aback but the answer very briefly. "Canada?!" She asked once more, this time exclaiming it in anger. "My whole life is here in jersey, all my friends, my fucking boyfriend, everything and you accept a goddamn job in Canada?!" She questioned, bewildered by everything she was being told currently.

"Don't raise your voice at me nor your mother Alessya!" Her father shouted back, his voice practically booming through the kitchen. "I work hard for everything you two have and need. This wasn't a decision I made alone, I asked your mother beforehand and she felt it would be good for all of us, a fresh start." Her father explained as calmly as he could.

Alessya could only look at her mom in pure shock, "you encouraged this decision? I-I don't even know what to say, you know I love Jersey and you want to take that from me? Before my senior year too?" She questioned softly, not being able to stop the tears from flowing down her face now.

"Mi amor no, please don't cry, I just thought it'd be good for the family." Her mother tried explaining, walking towards Alessya in an attempt to comfort her.

"No.. No! You didn't think about anyone but yourselves, I don't want to move to Canada, my whole life has been here!" She shouted through the tears, backing away from her mothers embrace, not wanting to be near neither of them.

"Alessya Farrugia, this is the last time I tell you to respect us! Our word is final in this home, and so is our decision! We're moving and that's final!" Her father shouted angrily, huffing in frustration as he could no longer stand his child standing before him.

"F-fine, when do we leave?" She asked as she sniffled, the tears still silently rolling down her face. She knew she couldn't fight her parents over it. She wasn't even eighteen yet, not even a legal adult so she had no say so in the matter. But she hoped she'd still have a while to spend with the group, nothing wanting to part too soon.

"We leave in three days Ale.." her mother announced softly, looking down at her manicured nails knowing her daughter wouldn't handle it well.

Without another word, Alessya rushed out the house and into her car. Her parents yelling after her to come back. Pulling out of the driveway of their house, she sobbed, roughly wiping the tears away from her eyes repeatedly in attempt to see the road. She didn't know what to do, so she did what she would normally do for comfort; run to Mattia.

Within the next 5 minutes, she arrived in front of his house. Parking behind his car before running up to the door. To her surprise the door was left unlocked. She knew his parents would understand her rushing in, especially in such a disastrous state of mind right now.

But to her surprise, she was running into an empty house. What the fuck? She thought to herself, after Mattia told her he'd be busy with family tonight, she only assumed they'd be home eating. Considering Mattia's dad was an amazing chef.

Making her way quietly around the house, she heard distant noises coming from Mattia's room. She couldn't quite figure out what the noises were until getting closer to the door. Placing her ear upon it, she could hear it quite clearly now; the sound of moans and groans of pleasure.

Not wasting another second, she turned the knob before pushing the door open. A loud gasp escaping past her lips as she placed a hand up to her mouth. There tangled under the sheets, was Mattia over her so called best friend Alondra, naked in all its glory.

At the sound of her gasp, both their heads snapped to the side, their eyes widening in shock. But soon the look on Alondra's face turned into a smirk.

"Babe, this isn't what it looks like," Mattia started slowly, before pulling out of Alondra and standing up off the bed, wrapping a blanket around his waist as he slowly inches towards Alessya.

Without a second thought, she turned onto her heel and ran out the house. Not daring to look back, she couldn't handle all of this, not tonight. Hopping into her car, she let out a heart-wrecking sob. Her life was just crumbling apart, all within the past hour too. With nowhere left to turn to, she drove off towards a cliff that overlooked where the moon shined off the ocean. It was peaceful, and the only quiet place Alessya could think of where she'd be left alone.

She felt utterly alone in the world, her parents going behind her back, along with someone she claimed to be her best friend and the love of her life. But she expected it sooner or later, not out of Alondra, but Mattia. She was still a virgin, she was stupid to think anyone would wait and stay loyal to her until marriage before she gave it up. She was a prude in comparison to her friends, and Mattia is an overly sexual person, they weren't a match that was meant to be.

Spending the majority of the night sitting upon the edge of the cliff, she cried to herself as she looked upon the ocean. Staying there in her own thoughts until the sunrise began to happen around 4am. She had cried until she ran out of tears, literally. Her head throbbing and pounding from all the crying.

Without realizing the time, the only thing to tell her it was morning was the sight of the sunrise before her, beautiful. She would sit there all day, but she realized she had to finish packing in two days. Picking her phone out her pocket, she realized it had died who knows how many hours ago.

Wiping away what remainder of the tears she had on her face, she could feel how swollen her eyes had become from the endless amount of hours crying. "Fuck," she muttered as she rose to her feet, stretching out her exhausted limbs. Letting a soft whimper escape her plump lips, she made her way back to the car, a yawn soon following. Surely after being up all night, unintentionally, of course she'd be tired. With barely any effort left, she made her way back home.
