Luigi's P.O.V:

Mario and the gang ran in quite quickly while Y/N and I looked around for any emergency exits or clues to why this hotel didn't properly click in my head. After a few seconds, Y/N said,

"I'm not seeing any escapes or emergency exits, it's just the single pair of entry doors in the front."

"I'm not finding anything either, if there's a fire you'd think they'd be prepared for it."

"Or they made the little error on purpose."

"On purpose, what do you mean by that?"

"Well Luigi, they might not want us to leave or to escape."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying if they invited royalty to a far away hotel and the hotel somehow makes a lot of money from doing nothing, there had to be something going on. And more importantly, if they invited royalty to a hotel with no exits or clear explanation as to why they invited you guys for free... then.. you know?"

"Hmm.."

"Think about it! They aren't getting any profit from this exchange and we got a V.I.P pass to the most luxurious rooms!"

This girl was thinking outside the box, and I like it.... but I think she's actually making a valid point... she might actually be right... which scares me..

"You're making a really good point, but I don't believe that's their intention. Now come on, we have a hotel to explore!"

She followed closely behind me, it's obvious she didn't wanna go in there, which made me hesitant as well, but I persisted.

I've only known this girl for half a day, but I'm already prepared to kill everyone and anything that intends to hurt her. When I'm loyal, I turn into a guard dog as some have put it.

We walk in and cannons bursted of confetti. It was loud which startled Y/N and I.

There was giant banners of our faces, well, all except for Y/N, we didn't tell them we invited her because we didn't think they were gonna make that.

I looked at her worriedly, she was starting at my banner then looked at me embarrassingly.

"Sorry" we said in unison, giggling afterwards.

We walked over to Mario who was eating a piece of cake, I wasn't hungry but Y/N seemed to be gazing over it.

I turned to her and she was shyly looked down, it's clear she wants some but she doesn't want to get in the way of Mario or anything of the sorts. She looked up when she saw me turn.

I mouthed the words,

"Want a piece?"

She nodded.

I grabbed her a piece with a cake slicer and proceeded to put it on a plate. I looked closely at it. It hade bits of purple sand almost and some parts had a purple shade, it had a weird scent as well. I'm assuming it's poisoned.

I put it down. I didn't trust it at all. I whispered to Mario to stop eating it because it might be poisonous and asked him who else consumed it. He said everyone except for peach and Y/N along with myself. Even the dog had a bite too. Worriedly, I turned to Y/N and whispered to her,

"The cake is poisoned with something I think. Only you, peach and I have not taken a bite of the cake."

She whispered back,

"Well now I know this place is really bad... also the guy with a mask at the desk is watching us."

I turned to face the front of the desk. The description she gave me was familiar to a psychopath, so I instinctively stood up, took a step forward and put an arm in front of Y/N, blocking her from the man.
