1) Deceit and Remus are not actual bad and Virgil knows this but pretends because he is actually protecting the light sides from the other side

2) For example Deceit and Remus are probably forced to be bad guys like Virgil but Virgil escaped and Deceit and Remus are trying to get him back so they can get help to escape too

3) I think there is another dark side that is the leader or like a person is making the dark sides seem bad so they can destroy Thomas and the light sides and that person wants Deceit and Remus to try to destroy Virgil's life even though Virgil knows they still love him like a brother and best friend
