school wasn't the easiest. kairi had three classes with mattia and he unfortunately sat right next to him in all of them. it felt like he was constantly passing him in the halls. and mattia look like a mess and even if kairi was mad, he hated seeing him like that.

mattia on the other hand was doing much worse. he ended things with jenna, so much for that. he hadn't slept at all the night before and his hand was killing him. seeing kairi only reminded him of how much he hurt him and he missed taking care of him. he missed taking him out when he was feeling little and he missed protecting him from the harsh world. every morning they used to text before school and once they were there, they were inseparable. now it seems like they never knew one another.

school ended after what felt like years, but mattia couldn't even leave yet. he had a chemistry test to make up that he had missed two weeks prior. he walked into his class and of course, sitting in the middle of the room was kairi. he had to make up the test two and mattia couldn't believe it. he was started to believe the universe was trying to tell him something.

kairi looked up from his phone, double taking mattia's presence. he gave him the most dry, emotionless smile and went back to his phone. mattia sat a few desks away, waiting for the teacher. "you know where mrs, brown is?" mattia asked quietly. kairi shook his head.

"can you turn on the lights?" the smaller boy asked.

"i like em off though." mattia tried to laugh, but it was to awkward. "ok, it's fine." kairi said a few seconds later. mattia stood anyways and turned them on. he knew kairi didn't like doing important things without as much light as possible which always confused mattia.

the two sat in the small room for at least ten minutes and the teacher still hadn't came. a different teacher had come in earlier to see what the two were doing. after they left, they closed door behind them. mattia and kairi could to anything and mattia took that to his advantage.

"i don't think the teachers gonna show." he spoke, startling kairi. "ya, probably not. but we should wait a little more, maybe something came up."

"ya maybe, but im kinda bored. we should do something to pass the time."

"mattia im not your friend." kairi rolled his eyes.

"who said we needed to be friends to pass the time. we can act like we never knew each other. it shouldn't be that hard, we did it all day." that hurt.

"fine, i guess it's better then just sitting here."

mattia had a small smirk on his face and moved to the table next to kairi's. he pulled out his phone and opened an app. "what is it?" kairi asked, genuinely interested. "truth or dare." mattia answered. kairi backed into his seat, "i don't wanna play truth or dare."

"it will be fun kairi, come on."

"fine, you go first though."

mattia clicked on truth, starting off easy. "one lie you've told your mom? well shit, that's the most boring question i have ever heard." mattia frowned.

"maybe it's because you're on kids mode." kairi pointed into the upper part of the screen, laughing a little. "oh, hold on." mattia changed it to party mode, wanting to have fun. he clicked on another truth. "would you ever have a three some?" the both of them started laughing and for a second it felt like they were friends again. "um, ya why not. you only live once." mattia shrugged and kairi gave him a gross look.

"my turn!" kairi clicked truth, "the first time i came?mattia no."

"you have to, that's the fun part." mattia kicked kairi's foot lightly. "that's gross though," the smaller boy whined.

"spill cosentino."

"i was fourteen and it was like two in the morning. not the best porn i have ever watched."

"ew, ok stop." mattia laughed. he choose dare this time and blocked kairi from reading his phone screen. he smiled and eyed kairi weirdly before reading it out loud. "kiss the person to your left."

kairi's eyebrows lifted and he shook his head. "no."

"it's the dare, we gotta do it. you wanted to play."

"ok, technically, i didn't want to play. im not letting you kiss me, no no no." kairi turned forward and folded his arms on his chest.  mattia stood and walked to the front of the smaller boys desk, leaning in. "you have to. i don't make the rules."

kairi looked into mattia's eyes and kept shaking his head. once again, he looked away. mattia grabbed kairi's chin and pulled him back to face him, leaning in even more. his free hand now placed on kairi's desk, holding him up. "mattia i-," kairi was cut off by mattia pressing his lips to his.

he wanted to pull away, but if felt to good. mattia's lips were soft and they tasted like cherries, something kairi never expected. it was even worse because this was kairi's first kiss, and he didn't now how to kiss at all. but something about it made him never wanna stop. he leaned into mattia and without communication the two stood up and mattia moved around kairi's desk, lips still attached. he reached the smaller boy and pulled away.

"your turn."
