Imagine for Grinch1404

You wake up to the gentle sound of rain falling. Craning your neck, you glance out the window to see that it is still fairly dark outside. Frowning in confusion, you sit up and look at the clock on your nightstand. It's  9:22 am, well past the time you meant to get up.

You glance down at your boyfriend to see that he is still sleeping soundly. His long, dark eyelashes brush against his green-flushed cheeks. His hair is a mess, a stark contrast from his usually immaculate self. You smile to yourself and brush a few stray hairs out of his face.

Not wanting to wake him, you tip-toe to the bathroom in your house and get in the shower. The warm water wakes you up and while you massage the shampoo into your hair you begin brainstorming things you and Spock could do together.

Your shore leave only lasted three days and you had wanted to show him around the town you grew up in, where you currently where. He had only seen a small portion of it the day before and even then, he seemed immensely uncomfortable.

Still thinking of ways to spend the day with your boyfriend, you finish your shower, dry off, and wrap yourself in a light blue bathrobe.

When you get to your room you notice that Spock is no longer in bed. You frown and are about to call for him when you feel two strong arms wrap around your waist.

"Good morning," Spock says as he presses a kiss to your shoulder.

You turn around, go on your tip toes and kiss his lips. "Good morning, handsome," you reply, his arms around you and your lips still brushing.

He smiles slightly and glances out the open window. You look outside too and see that the rain has not let up.

Spock lets you go and you wander to your closet to grab your outfit for the day.

"I'm sorry about the weather." You say, rummaging through your drawer to find some socks.

"I find your need to apologize for something that is clearly beyond your control amusing," he smiles slightly at you, "but nevertheless, I accept your apology."

"I mean, I'm sorry that I can't show you around my town more. I was going to show you my favorite park today but since it's raining I can't," you specify.

He looks at the ground and replies, "I would much rather spend the day alone with you anyways. Have you seen the way the people in your town look at me?"

You turn away from the closet and walk over to him. Taking his hands in yours you softly ask, "Spock, what do you mean?"

"In the 23rd century, the United Federation of Planets declared that Alien immigration to other planets is legal, however, it is still very uncommon, even in cities with large populations. Here in this town, one whose population comprises of only 12,533 citizens, all of whom are human, I am the only exception."

"Spock, are you ashamed to be different?" You ask cautiously.

He averts his eyes to the floor and doesn't answer.

You take his hands to your lips and press a soft to them.

"I will never be ashamed of you. Just because this little town in the middle of nowhere is still stuck in the 21st century doesn't give them the right to stare or make assumptions. You have such a big heart and are so much more loving than any other person I have met. You are twice the person they will ever be." You take him into your arms and he melts into your embrace, taking a deep calming breath.

"Can we just stay like this?" He asks softly.

"All day?" You mumble into his chest.

"Please?" He asks, still not looking up.

"I would love to."

His brown eyes lock with yours and are filled with tears. You pull away slightly, take his hand and lead him back to your bed.

He lays beside you, resting his head on your chest and wrapping his arms around you. You put your hand on his head and start playing with his hair. You can just see the contented smile that creeps to his lips as he snuggles in closer to you.

The rain stops a few hours later, but you and Spock decide that you would rather stay like this.
