Oh the sheer delight
When the world is on the edge of night,
The wind rustles slowly through the trees,
And fireflies, how they dance in the breeze.
The light is fading, my vision, less clear
But no matter, as I look up and peer,
Through the leafy undergrowth, and there
The stars are becoming visible,
Soon, their weak glow will become a glare.
That magical time,
When the day fades away,
But the night is not yet here to stay.
Those magical moments, a beautiful scene,
When time is at a standstill, frozen in between.
Not in the night.
Not in the day.
The time when I feel most alive,
Is right here,
Beneath the twilight sky.
