Chapter 8.

Rick had never been so sure about Nicole than anything, he was convinced that Nicole and him where meant for one another. Nicole gave him permission to try and he wasn't backing down, when Nicole's grandmother's funeral day came everyone from Nicole's dad's side of the family had come to her funeral in Japan in her grandmother's village in Hokkaido, Rick showed his support and came to the funeral along with his daughter's family. Nicole wanted to be traditional and wore a funeral kimono like her great aunt and her grandmother's family with the women even her aunt wore the same thing Nicole wore, the funeral lasted for a few hours before everyone started leaving. Nicole made sure to thank the agencies that she asked for getting her family to Japan along with helping the funeral cost, when the Smith family wanted to do a little site seeing before they went back home Rick stayed behind to talk with Nicole.

"Gotta admit, black suits you very well Nicole. You look beautiful in that outfit." Hearing Rick say that made her turn and look at him she was still a little upset as she spoke to him

"Thanks Rick but I don't think now is a good time for your flirting?" Nicole stopped herself when she say Jerry talking with Great aunt

"Oh no, Rick stop Jerry from talking to my great aunt before he says something stupid." The second after she said that Rick started heading the way to his son in law and the same with Nicole with her Great Aunt. She started speaking to her in Japanese as she was leaving with her and her Japanese cousins in which she agreed and told her that Jerry's language skills where terrible and thought he was a little stupid to be on terms with there family and thought he should leave the country before he gets hunted down, Rick understood her in which made him start laughing . Jerry asked ask him what she said and told him it was nothing to worry about, Rick intentionally told him that in wanting to see him being chased out by angry Japanese people. Though while his daughter's family decided to look around the village Rick wanted to talk with Nicole's family, he was happy and surprised she came from an intelligent and well knowledge technology family. Rick found out that Nicole's father was a genius in computers and even enjoyed building his own super and gaming computers for his own entertainment the same with his brothers, Rick also discovered something about Nicole he didn't know about her and that she never posted. Nicole's father taught her own to build machines like her dad and was an very expert hacker like her brother, Nicole preferred the less people that know outside the family the better type so she wouldn't be bothered and purposefully acting like she barely knew how to use certain technology. Rick ended up telling him that he was a scientist and told him all the stuff he's done over his years, though before when things got good Beth came running to him telling the Jerry was being chased by villagers because he one of the worst screws in Japanese by accident.    

While Rick was laughing his ass off seeing his son in law being cased by villagers Nicole was with her brother saying that he had a bad feeling about Rick and that she agreed with him and she warned him about not getting on his bad side and he took her advice , one of there cousins ended up telling them that Rick's son in law Jerry angered a lot of people by saying something very stupid and was being run out of the small village. Nicole wasn't that surprised by that and decided not to watch, instead wondered off to a large koi pond with red spider lilies surrounded the area. When she picked a spider lily off the ground she spoke out loud

"Shouldn't you be laughing at your son in law." When she  turned around she saw Rick coming up to her and noticing the flower in her hand

"You seem too(belch) like the weed your holding?"

"These are one of my favorite flowers in japan these are the flowers of the afterlife. They are often described as ominous flowers that grow in hell and guide the dead to the next reincarnation. I'm not sure why but I always found myself attached to them more than any flower I've seen." To Nicole's surprise Rick took the flower out of Nicole's hand and he placed it in her hair on her side hair bun
