I didn't know what was happening, the last thing I knew was that my mom (Madison Clark), my mom's fiancé (Travis Manawa) and I were out looking for my brother Nick who had been missing for weeks.

But right now, we are being dragged into some military base by some strange men wearing military uniforms, we try telling them we are just looking for our family, but they didn't care. These are not good people and once we are in this base I don't think we will ever be coming out of it. Alive at least.

I tried fighting the two men holding me, but their hold was to firm on me, then I heard my mom shout

"Stop fighting Grace, just do as they tell you."

Even though I didn't want to listen to her, I realised I probably should if I didn't feel like dying right there and then.

I then noticed the most awful smell and I looked around and there were dead bodies everywhere. I was to busy trying to fight my way out of the men's tight grasps that I didn't even realize that their were hundreds of rotten corpses lying around me, I felt sick to the stomach. But, I knew that whatever was in that military base was going to be far worse than what is out here.

When we got through the gates, they separated Travis from us and my mom yelled at the soldiers,

"Where are you taking him!"

But they refused to answer and told us to just keep going. Then my mom and I were shoved in one car and Travis in another. We then drove off, not having a clue where we were going to be taken.

We were put into an office room, and my mom and I immediately started looking for ways to escape or things that could help us get out.

"You got anything?" I asked urgency clear in my voice.

"No," she replied bluntly.

"What about the ceiling?" I said, regaining my hope.

My mom climbed onto the table in the centre of the room and lifted up one of the dull grey ceiling tiles.

"Nothing," she mumbled as I lost all my hope once again.

"We shouldn't have come here," I told my mom, now getting frustrated.

"We had to!" she snapped while looking through some metal cabinets.

"No we should be looking for Nick, tracing him!" I retorted. "No one comes back from this"

As I said that the door was unlocked and a tall, young man with brown curly hair and bright blue eyes dressed in a military uniform came in.

"Hi, sorry to keep you, I'm Troy" the handsome man said while placing a tray on the table.

"Please sit ma'am," he said to me nervously while staring me up and down.

I just stood there and ignored his request. He then finally took his eyes off me and looked around.

"Tea?" he asked awkwardly. "Coffee wasn't brewed so-" he said as he took his eyes off the table, looking back up at me, giving me a quick smile, then looking back at the tea.

He then walked to the door and closed it.

"Oh, I spoke to my men and you shouldn't have been handled so roughly," Troy said.

"Well why were we?" I demanded.

"You came from the border, border's dangerous, people want our fuel and we've had attacks." He told, eyes locked on me, his face holding an intrigued expression.

"We weren't attacking Troy," my mom told him, but his turquoise eyes didn't move away from me.

"Well we still have to process you, its security protocol." He explained, finally taking his ocean eyes off me and moving them to the drinks once again.
