I ran after her as fast as I could, she was injured so she couldn't run that fast, so I ended up just a few metres behind her.

She jumped into a car and slammed the door, but before she could get it started, I smashed the window, causing broken glass to cover her. Then I aggressively flung the door open, and dragged her out, throwing her to the ground. I got on top of her, and repeatedly punched her in the face.

"What did you do! Tell me!" I screamed, still punching her in the face.

She wouldn't answer me, so I carried on punching her across the face, until she was completely unconscious.

"Grace!" I heard Troy's voice behind me.

"It was her, she did all of this." I told him, as I got up of her unconscious body.

"Ok, we took all of the infected out, lets carry her back and we will take things from there." Troy told me as he picked up her legs and I picked up her arms. Then we walked back.

There were dead bodies everywhere, and the militia were already carrying them away, and people were being taken to the infirmary.

We carried her to the infirmary and it was so full, we lay her down on a bed, and I saw my brother lying on one, my mom by his side.

I walked over to them.

"Is he ok?" I asked my mom, as I looked at my unconscious brother.

"Everyone has been poisoned somehow." my mom said.

"We'll work it out, don't worry." I reassured her, even though i was very worried myself.

I left the infirmary, and began helping the militia load the dead bodies into trucks to help take my mind off things.

We didn't finish until the morning, and by then, people were lying on beds outside of the infirmary because of how full it got. I decided to go and help in the infirmary after I helped with the dead bodies because I had a bit of medical experience in the Air Force, and I knew the basics.

"I need an IV drip over here." Jake said to me.

"Got it." I told him.

I turned around and another person had turned. Jeramiah took his gun, and shot it in the head without hesitation, causing everyone to jump.

"Ofelia put something in the coffee last night, a powder." my mom walked in and told Jeramiah.

"What kind of powder?" the old man asked.

"She said she doesn't know." my mom told him.

"You sure?" he questioned.

"Yeah." my mom told him.

"Her coming back here, with all the bruises, it was all a trick." I spoke up.

"It was a hit on the militia." Jake added.

My mom walked over to my unconscious brother, and put her hand on his forehead,

"He's burning up." she stated.

"We have antibiotics, but without knowing what's wrong..." Jake started.

"Give him the antibiotics, keep him alive." my mom told Jake, before walking off.

For most of the morning, I was just helping people in the infirmary, then Nick woke up, and threw up all over the floor.

"Morning sunshine." I said sarcastically.

"It's kind of like old times." he replied, referring back to the old world when he was addicted to drugs and I had to take care of him.

I got a cloth and wiped his mouth, then my mom walked in, looking very worried.
