"Hold on Benny. Wait. No Lily! Stop that. Bad boy. Get off Oscar!"
Kongpob tried to round up all five dogs for their walk. He had to make sure he shut the gates properly. He has been the dog walker for the fancy neighborhood a mile away from his home for the past year. He only walked the dogs on Sundays when all the maids in the neighborhood had their day off, and he had no school.
Kongpob really enjoyed his time with his furry friends. This was his favorite part-time job. He has always loved pets, but his mother has terrible allergies. So, he has never had a pet of his own. Maybe someday he will have his own pet. Someday.
Kongpob squatted down to push Oscar off Lily. "Hey, it's not happening on my watch. Dude, put that away. Be a gentleman. Now behave." Kongpob laughed rubbing Oscar's head.
Oscar whined as Kongpob separated him from his girlfriend Lily. The pug huffed and puffed his displeasure at Kongpob.
This was the hardest part of walking the dogs. Trying to get all of them to actually walk without being overly excited. Kongpob prayed that they won't come across a squirrel or bunny rabbit today. Last time that happened, he fell when all the dogs suddenly dragged him to the tree where the squirrel ran up to the top. Aside from being hurt, he also had a great time untangling all their leashes too.
Kongpob had three dogs leashes in his right hand, Lily, Oscar, and Benny. And he had two leashes in his left hand, the siblings Bruno, and Mars. They were actually pretty well behaved. They were always excited to see Kongpob come pick them up.
He usually walked them around the neighborhood, and stopped at the local park for a little bit. Other than Oscar, the rest behaved well enough for them to play without their leashes. He would usually let them run around for a bit on the open grass area in the park. They never ran away or anything like that. Oscar was the only one that needed to be tied down to the bench. And that's not because he would run off, but because he wouldn't leave Lily alone.
Kongpob sat on the bench with Oscar watching the other dogs play. Oscar made whining noises as he pawed Kongpob's legs for attention.
"I know you don't want to sit here. We will go soon. Okay? Just give them five more minutes." Kongpob rubbed Oscar behind his ears.
Not very far away was another boy also walking a dog. A very small dog that is.

"Why am I stuck with you? This is so gross. Yeah, I'm talking to you. Just because you're cute, doesn't mean your poop don't stink." Arthit was talking to his sister's new puppy as he picked up her poop in a bag. His sister Krystal got a new Maltese puppy named Bubbles for her 13th birthday, or their birthday since they are twins. Arthit found even the puppy's name embarrassingly cute. Krystal named the puppy after her favorite cartoon character.
Today, Krystal had gone shopping with her friends, and Arthit's mother insisted Arthit take Bubbles out for a walk. She said it would be nice for him to get some fresh air instead of reading mangas all day in his room.
