Ryan's POV:
"Ryan, get up!" I felt someone violently shake me. Go away I thought. With that I rolled over to stay underneath the warmth of the blanket. "Oh no you are not rolling away from me," I recognized that voice anywhere. I still don't care who it is; I don't want to be woken up. He pulled me over onto my back again and straddled me. I groaned from the sudden weight. "Aweh, my sweet RyRo is so cute sleeping." I felt his breath on my own visage as he spoke and pinched my cheeks. I'm done, I'll get up now.
"Brendon, get off." My voice was hoarse from being dry. I hate mornings.
"Look who's finally up and going to make us late for school, again." He hopped off of me and walked to my closet proceeding to throw clothes in my direction. "Get dressed and I'll meet you downstairs!" He yelled as he ran out of my room to go get us both breakfast. Where would I be without him? I pulled off the pajamas I was wearing and pulled on some black skinny jeans and some faded shirt that was thrown at me. I walked into my own small personal bathroom to examine my reflection. I definitely do not feel hot in the mornings. My bed hair was not cute, and when is eyeliner smudged down your cheeks ever attractive? I washed my tired face and flattened my hair. I decided not to do anything to it today besides leave it straight. I then quickly applied more eyeliner.
"Looks like this will do," I muttered to myself and then walked downstairs. I was greeted with eggs and toast.
"There's my golden God!" Brendon exclaimed as he saw me walk in.
"Yeah, I wasn't thinking that when I looked in the mirror." He only shook his head and chuckled.
"Well we have fifteen minutes to get to school so unless we want to get detention again, eat quickly." I nodded and shoveled it all in. Brendon ran upstairs to grab both our bags and when he came back down I already put our plates away so we could leave.
"Ready to arrive to our torture zone?" He asked as I walked out the door.
"As ever."

We ran through the entrance of the building and luckily our first hour was on the ground floor or else everyday we'd be late. We made it just in time that the bell rang. When we sat down we both just grinned at each other. It'll never get old.
"Good morning everyone..." The annoying voice of the principle spoke through the intercom for the morning announcements. Everyone just spoke over her and didn't care to listen at all.
"Hey Ryan?"
"Yes Brendon?"
"You didn't do the homework did you?" Shit. He chuckled knowingly and passed me the algebra I didn't bother to complete. I smiled cheekily at him as he patted my head. Again, where would I be without him?

Four hours passed to where we began to head to lunch. I waited by my locker for Brendon so we could walk together. I tilted my head on the cold metal and closed my eyes. I just want to go home so I can sleep and write. I felt arms wrap around my waist and I looked over my shoulder.
"Hey Bden," I lazily grinned at him.
"Let's get to lunch I'm starving." He grabbed my hand and tugged me down the crowded hallway to get to the cafeteria where Brent and Spencer would be waiting at our table.
After Brendon and I grabbed our food we walked over to the rest of our "group" where they greeted us.
"Hey guys, what's up?" Brendon smiled as he sat down, and I pulled out a chair next to him.
"Just talking about how Fall Out Boy is doing another tour soon and how we should go see them," Spencer replied. I looked at Brendon and grabbed his arm tightly.
"We must go! I'll start saving money right away but you must too!" I screeched excitedly. He furiously nodded his head and the other guys laughed. We all quickly talked about other bands and other tours. While that lead to us hopefully doing the same thing one day.
Our dream clouds were blown away when the bell rang for us to go to fifth period which Brendon and I had choir. We waved Spence and Brent goodbye as we walked in separate directions. On our way to class we got shoulder checked and shoved on to the lockers. I wasn't surprised, but someone ran by and elbowed me in the nose. Which obviously caused it to bleed. I slid onto the floor clutching my face.
"Ryan are you okay? No, obviously not," Brendon said answering his own question, "C'mere," he cooed at me and moved my hands to examine my nose. I didn't protest when he pulled me up to take me to the nurse. Honestly if I could go home all the better. I groaned when I stood feeling the throbbing of my nose increase, not to mention the blood everywhere. Brendon slung my arm over his shoulder and held me up by my waist. I can walk on my own, but I decided to just let him carry me.
"When is this ever going to end?" Brendon sighed as he said it.
"Never probably, look at us and then look at them. Who cares though, if a bunch of rich, heartless fuckboys want to beat us for being different, let them. I won't stoop to their level," I didn't care anymore. I'm done with fighting. I've had enough fights to last me a lifetime. Brendon only shook his head at me.
"That's all true but I don't think we should stand down. We're people too, Ryan."
"Yes, but their consequence is the real world." I saw the switch flip in his head as he caught on to what I meant. He smirked at me and opened the door to the nurse's office. The nurse looked up from what she was doing and shook her head.
"Not again," she sighed and went to go get supplies to clean us up. "Why don't you boys just fill out a form to get those boys suspended at the least?"
"Why bother? Matters would only get worse," I explained to her Brendon nodded in agreement with me. It's the obvious explanation.
After she cleaned us up the nurse filled out a form to send us both home early. Brendon and I decided to just walk back to my house. When we got there I was exhausted even more so than before. I laid down on my bed and crawled under the blankets.
"Brendon, join me it's cold," I pouted at him because in all honesty it's freezing. My eyelids began to get heavy and my head was pounding from earlier. I felt the cover lift up and the bed sink in on the other side. I rolled over to lay on Brendon's chest, and I could hear the steady beat of his heart before I drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

When I woke up I could feel a steady breath on the back of my neck and an arm was resting around my waist. I closed my eyes again and felt myself smiling against his chest. No, what am I doing? He's your best friend nothing more. I just sat there feeling the body on body contact and the slight buzz I got from it. I tilted my head up to Brendon's face and saw his mouth slightly ajar and his soft looking skin. I noticed I was getting closer and pulled back quickly. Ryan get a hold of yourself.
"Hey, you're awake," Brendon muttered in his cute, raspy, tired voice.
"Yeah, I just woke up." I smiled down at him as I stretched my arms. My nose scrunched up in a yawn but pain shot through causing me to groan instead. I tenderly touched my nose and sighed. Brendon sat up next to me and examined my face. My heart rate slowly increased. Stop, Ryan, stop. I closed my eyes and tried to focus on my breathing, but Brendon ended up getting confused.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm just a little tired still," smooth. Now finish it out, "My head was pounding earlier and now it's down to a dull throb just like my nose." That's not a lie.
"Come on, there has to be some sort of painkiller somewhere." He took my hand and pulled me out of my room. A wave of butterflies floated around my body, filling my mind with those sweet touches, and my stomach dropping in shock. No, I am not attracted to Brendon; I am not attracted to him. I think this is to add to the list of things fucked up in my life because since when do I start to have feelings for my best friend?
