Brendon's POV:
"Brendon, join me it's cold." I debated whether to lay down or not. I decided to anyways because I am tired. I crawled in next to Ryan and he immediately curled up to me with his head on my chest. He must be really tired because he's asleep already. I put my arm around his waist and held him close. I don't want him to get hurt; if anyone deserves it, it's me not him. Ryan goes through enough already, if you knew everything you'd wonder how he is still functioning. The answer would be he barely is, it's mostly a facade. With the thoughts of cute Ryan sleeping dancing throughout my head I drifted off.

I woke up to a slight jerk and noticed the weight on my chest was absent. My eyelids opened slightly and I could see his adorable self, even with the bruises on his perfect skin.
"Hey, you're awake." My throat is too dry to speak clearly. I noticed Ryan wasn't acting the same. He groaned and told me he was still in pain. I pulled him off the bed so we could go find some painkillers. I figured the obvious place would be the bathroom. I was right because some ibuprofen was in the cabinet.
"Hey, sit up on the counter so I can help you clean up your face some more." I smiled at him as he did exactly that. I grabbed two of the small pills and filled one of those plastic clear cups with water. Ryan swallowed it down in a second and tossed the cup into the trash as I grabbed the rag that was just chilling next to sink. I put some cold water on it and examined Ryan's face again. There was still some dried blood around his nose so I began to wipe that off. Ryan groaned.
"Could you be gentler?" I chuckled and smirked at him. "You know what I meant," he laughed and met my eyes. His honey brown liquid eyes were the most gorgeous when his lungs were filling with laughter, kind of like they are now. I nodded at him still smiling as I resumed to cleaning his face. I took in little details I never noticed before. The way his lips curve in a smile, every shade of brown that's in his eyes, how his cheeks turn bright red with embarrassment, and how his hair falls when you push it back.
"Okay I think you're all good now."
"Besides the bruises that ache," he sighed.
"As the golden God you are, the bruises don't change a thing." I hugged him from the side and gave him a cheeky grin. He only shook his head and changed the conversation to something else.
"Today is Friday so we don't have school tomorrow; why don't you spend the night and we can have a movie marathon." I nodded in agreement.
"Sounds like a good plan to me." I pulled out my phone to check the time and it's 6:23. Too early to start watching movies. I decided to text my mom and tell her I'm spending the night with Ryan. "It's too early to start watching movies now. What do you want to do until then?" Ryan just grabbed my hand and pulled me back into his room.
"I want to show you some of the songs I've been working on." He pulled out a notebook and handed it to me. There's pages and pages of lyrics. Which are all beautifully written.
"Ryan, do you realize you are a lyrical genius?" I swear my face was glowing with delight while his was turning shades of pink with shyness.
"It's not that great. You're just saying that out of pity."
"This is not a face of pity," I said motioning to my face, "This is a face of delight. Which is from reading some of those wonderfully written lyrics." He finally accepted that it wasn't awful that these words he wrote were going to be turned into amazing songs. I leaped across the room to grab his guitar and strummed a chord.
"Ryan, sing this one," I said as I pointed to the page. He came over and sat by me picking up the notebook.
"I don't know, I-"
"Ryan, please, for me?" I gave him puppy eyes and pouted my lip. Ryan sighed and finally nodded. I played different chords that sounded alright together softly so I could hear him.
Watch your mouth because your speech is slurred enough that you just might swallow your tongue...
He sang a few more lines and that's where it stopped.
"It's still not finished yet obviously."
"But it sounds great so far!" I set down the guitar and tackled Ryan into a hug. "Start appreciating yourself more. It's okay to be a little vain." My voice was muffled against his shoulder and he was laughing.
"I'm sorry I just write and I didn't think anyone would like it." He wrapped his arms around me; as of this point, I'm just laying on top of him.
"Thousands of people are going to love it. We're going to form this band and people will love us, just because of your words." My eyes locked with Ryan's as our faces are only an inch apart. We share the same breath and our bodies are flattened against each other. What is this? I searched for something, but all I can focus on are his lips. Our noses touched but then a door was slammed from downstairs.
"Ryan, get your ass down here!"
"Dad's home." Ryan breathed.
