"Do you hear that sound?" BJ smirked, grinning at his two new friends. Lydia returned the grin and nodded.
"That beautiful sound."
"That is the sound, of clean white, shorts turning brown!" Beetlejuice exclaimed, getting a giggle out of Skye. What could she say? Potty humor was enjoyable.
"Torture and pain! Breaking a brain."
"This is so awesome!" Skye squealed, balling her fists and jumping up and down out of excitement.
"A sound that says, I will never! Sleep well again." He pointed finger guns at Lydia and Skye. Skye grabbed Lydia and pulled her into another tight hug, she let out a happy and incredibly loud scream. BJ and Lydia gave her a worried look, but went back to their regular demeanor.
"The sound of a scream, is music to me. A sound that says fifteen years full-time therapy!" She nudged BJ on the arm, he chuckled and threw an arm over her.
"Trauma and fear, it sings in my ear!"
"Ain't it the, sweetest noise around. That beautiful sound!" The group sang together, the sound of a doorbell echoed throughout the house.
"Ooh! Someone's at the door!" Skye loudly whispered, Lydia cocked an eyebrow and looked up at BJ. He had this big gigantic excited smile on his face, he was practically begging for the chance to open the door.
"You wanna answer it this time?" She tilted her head, BJ nodded excessively as he dashed for the door.
"More than anything!" He giggled, yes, he giggled. He sounded like a 5-year old getting permission to stay up late. Lydia snorted and rolled her eyes, she held up a finger, signaling for him to wait a minute. She just wanted to give him a little heads up before he went crazy with their new found guests.
"Don't oversell it, act natural."
"Come on, you're giving me advice?" The demon cackled and opened the door. There stood a cleaned up man, with a huge smile on his face. Oh, this would be fun.
"Hello? I'm with the U.S. Census Bureau, time for a few- OH MY GOD!" He screeched when meeting eyes with Beetlejuice. He felt bad for screaming even though BJ looked disgustingly horrifying. He though maybe it was just a deformed man who couldn't handle but look gross and green, right? No need to scream and be offensive.
"Hi."
"How many people live here?"
"Just me," Lydia smirked, the man raised an eyebrow. He turned to Beetlejuice and pointed at him.
"Oh, and you?"
"I don't live here, I'm dead!" That alone made the man scream again. Beetlejuice slammed the door on his face and laughed along with Lydia. Skye looked between the two and started laughing herself. She was happy that they were happy!
"Panic and stress!" BJ locked arms with Lydia.
"Panic and stress!" She repeated.
"Ain't it the best!?" Beetlejuice let go of Lydia, running to plop down on the couch. She followed his actions, sitting right next to him.
"Ain't it the best?"
"The sound of a heart," Skye squeezed herself in between them. "Exploding inside a chest!" She pat herself on the chest and raised her hands in the air. Lydia stood up, pulling Skye up with her and spinning her around.
"If fills you with pride!"
"Were ruining lives!"
"Ain't it the, sweetest noise in town? That beautiful sound!" They sang in unison. Suddenly an idea popped into BJ's head. He let in a sharp and loud gasp, gaining a look from the two girls beside him.
