Beetlejuice sat alone on the roof, he felt depressed and useless. He was never going to get anyone to say his name, he felt invisible.

"You're invisible when you're me. There's no one to see my truth. If they'd look up they'd see. Hey! Somebody's on the roof!" He felt himself tear up as he pointed off into the distance.

"God, it's mortifying! What's the point of even trying cause now, I'm trapped! With no escape." He got even more dramatic by the second, he leaned back against the wall. His third arm handed him a tissue to wipe his tears with.

"Banished! Disavowed!" He yelled in a deep, thundering voice.

"I vanished like a cloud of dirty hipster vape.." He started sobbing as he pulled his third leg over his lap. He was sincerely sad, yes it was a little goofy but he really felt alone.

"Nobody said life's fair. Guess they will never see! The demon who isn't there...you're invisible when.." He took a deep breath.

"Your!" He sang, resembling Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas. His face dropped, his purple hair showing his negative emotions.

"Me." He grumbled, a little girl ran onto the rooftop in tears. She fell to her knees in sadness as she began writing her own suicide note.

"What have we got here?" Beetlejuice was intrigued, he leaned forward and watched her every move.

"By the time you read this. I, Lydia Deetz, will be gone. There's nothing for me here. I'm alone, forsaken, invisible!" Lydia put the paper down, clenching her stomach as she began to sob. Beetlejuice knew exactly how she felt, he may have not had a dead mom but that doesn't mean he's never felt invisible before. He sort of felt bad for her, he might be a demon but he knew a little girl shouldn't be feeling like this. He felt sympathy for her.

"That makes two of us." He mumbled, looking down. Lydia turned towards him, wiping her tears away.

"Who the hell are you?"

"Can you..." He gulped, "See me?" Beetlejuice asked, standing up and walking towards her.

"Yeah..." Lydia looked him up and down, responding in a confused and whispery tone.

"You can see me!" He exclaimed, "I'm gonna have a new best friend!" He belted, holding out his arms in glee. Lydia just watched this happen, scared and confused with this whole situation. Who the hell was this guy? Why did he want to be her friend? What was going on!? She came here to be suicidal, why did he have to ruin it? Beetlejuice transformed from purple to his normal green tone, happy again.

"Okay, listen, we're going to make such a great team! You're going to love this! So what brings you to the roof? Bullying? Depression?" Beetlejuice gasped, "Daddy Issues?" He whispered to her.

"I guess you could call it that, my dad doesn't understand me and I'm sick of it! I'm gonna jump!" Lydia announced as she walked towards the ledge. She attempted to jump but heard a scream coming from the green demon.

"NOOO!" He screeched grabbing her, there was a small awkward silence as he put her down and cleared his throat.

"I mean, no....Trust me, you don't want to do that. I have an idea! Instead of impaling yourself on that bird bath, you can maybe say my name three times? I can help, I can give your dad some huge payback!" Beetlejuice chuckled, furrowing his eyebrows. His evil smile was on point. Lydia wasn't buying it, she really wasn't in the mood for another crazy person.

"I mean, that sounds nice. But it's just, ever since my mom died.." Her sentence trailed off, the topic just filled her with more sorrow.

"Oh, Dead Mom, huh? Well, if you ask me, moms are overrated. Y'know, my mom is a demon. A literal demon!" He stuck his tongue out in disgust as his mind filled with memories of his own mother. He really didn't like her, he really hated everything about her. She was always so possessive and mean, his mom was basically his personal bully.

"When are you going to get married? Get a job! Grow up why don't cha? TAKE A BATH!" He spoke in a high pitched voice trying to imitate his mother. He didn't enjoy her company.

"I mean, I almost got married but, didn't turn out well. Ended pretty bad." He made a fart noise as he plummeted his thumb into the ground.

"My mom is so overbearing! It's like, why can't you just let me be myself mom!?" He yelled as he crossed his arms. You could tell he was one of those angsty teens when he was younger. Lydia squinted at him, she rolled her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"You ever heard of MCR?"

"I love them! Why?"

"No reason." Lydia groaned, all she wanted to do was jump off a roof! But this guy happened to be passing by, hooray!

"So uhm, bye." She once again tried to throw herself off the roof, but she was grabbed by Beetlejuice.

"Okay, okay! I know I seem annoying! But I can help, really! You just have to trust me." Beetlejuice crossed his heart, Lydia sighed in defeat.

"Fine. But I know the kind of person you are, what's in it for you?" She tilted her head. She then crossed her arms and tapped her foot against the ground, waiting for an answer. Beetlejuice fiddled with his fingers, he looked up at Lydia.

"Well, all I really need is for you to say my name! Then I can give your dad the pain he deserves, and I can be free and happy." Beetlejuice gave her an innocent smile but she wasn't falling for it.

"Come on! There has to be more than that, there's no way you're just going to help me if I say your name. There's something else, tell me!" Technically Lydia was right, he wasn't telling her the entire truth. But he also wasn't lying to her, it was a strategy of his.

"Nope! Just say my name three times and that's it. Then we can live free! Think about it, no more dad, no more chains holding you down, no more being invisible." He whispered in her ear, the word invisible really got to Lydia. She looked back at the demon that stood before her, her tense body loosened up.

"No more being invisible." She still felt weary about it, she had been tricked before and it wasn't going to happen again. She looked up at the demon, she wanted more information and he obviously wasn't going to get it from him. She would have to force it out of him, and she knew exactly how she would do it.

"Give me one good reason why I should say your name." She glared at him, Beetlejuice smiled even more if that was possible.

"I can give you millions! Just open your ears, and let me fill you with some knowledge!"
