I walked slowly and silently with my head down, hoping nobody noticed me. I hadn't been more embarrassed in my life. I kept thinking if Nico had been affected by the waves.I started walking faster. As I walked I kept stepping in puddles.I moved my hand a bit and they started moving back under the bridge forming a lake.I then noticed that maybe I could get them all to forgive me then. I looked up and closed my eyes.I kept thinking Dry and this time instead of the water going outwards I wanted it to go inwards toward the lake.As I was thinking I heard Wows, and Oohs which made me feel special, I guess.When I opened my eyes, people were dry and back to normal. They were all smiling at me and some of them even said thank you. I looked back at the lake and made my way into the cabin.I heard footsteps behind me.They were loud and fast, I turned around and Percy stood in front of me." Leave me alone" I said clenching my fists but calmly letting it go, I didn't want to start another wave.I walked towards my closet.
" I just want to talk, I'm not gonna stop you"he said and I stopped in my tracks.
" Go on?"
" Thank you, okay yesterday before I found out you were my long lost sister, a voice came in my head saying Protect her and ever since then I have this weird instinct to defend you, and I honestly didn't want you to go out with Nico at first, Ive seen people get their hearts broken on a lot of reality shows and-"
" Defend me? I can take care of myself!" I said still not looking at him.
" You didn't let me finish, Ive realized that you should follow your own heart, it would be the brotherly thing to do." he said.
"The brotherly thing to do would be not care" I muttered.
" Huh?" he said.
" Nothing, and I presume you'll respect my decision in the end, now gimme a hug bro!"I said and gave him a hug.I looked at the clock behind him." I have two hours until eight! hug over!" I said an opened the closet
" Well I'm gonna go hang out with Annabeth!" he said as he was leaving.
" So is that what you call it these days?"I yelled to him as he was exiting.
" Shut up!" he said and even from a mile apart I could see him blushing.
I opened my closet. Most of it was blue, so I decided to take a different approach.I ran over to the Aphrodite Cabin, cause apparently cell phones aren't an option."Hey um is Silena here?" I said walking awkwardly into the room.
" No shes on a date with Beckendorf, why?" Drew said.
" Wait aren't you going on a date with that Nico kid?" Tracy stood up and said. It was odd hearing her speak but I was desperate.
" Is it obvious?" I asked.
" Nope, your pretty good at hiding your emotions, but he came in a few minutes ago and asked us advice, being a son of hades, he doesn't know that much on love. He really likes you though!" Drew said.
"How can you tell?" I said.
"He said he wanted it to be perfect, that there something special about you, then he went on about how pretty you are and your personality, OMG I just love this!!!" Taylor squealed.I could feel heat rise to my cheeks.
" He did?" I said playing with my fingers.
" Yup, but anyway what are you gonna wear? I have the perfect thing!" Drew said and ran into a pink room. " Well are you coming or not?" she said and pulled me into the room. It was much bigger than I imagined. There were different racks of clothes, and there was a big machine painted pink that was making a lot of noise. "Welcome to paradise!, that over there is our glitter machine, painted by myself with pink nail polish, and built by Charlie Beckendorf, It makes any fabric you want all sparkly!"
" Okay? Ill pass, why did you bring me here?" I asked.
" Because of this" she said as she pulled out a shimmery strapless black dress, that was elegant yet simple and perfect for a first date.
" Its perfect, thank you! " I said.
" Don't mention it, you can keep it, now have a good time on your date sweetheart!" she said and patted me on the back.Drew was being a little too motherly too me, it was actually getting kind of creepy. I ran back to Poseidon's cabin, rushed into the bathroom and slipped into the dress.There was a belt attached to it, which gave the dress a figure. It shimmered, I was used to wearing black, it looked like it would look good on anybody.I wore it with my converses, which made it seem more first date type I guess. I heard a knock on my cabin door, I took one more look in the mirror, then opened the door. There stood Nico holding up roses. He wore a long-sleeved white collared shirt with a black tie, with a pair of black jeans and a leather jacket. He looked perfect, I started to get scared when I thought of whether or not I was smiling too much.
"Hey" he said and held out his hand for me to walk down the steps. I took it gratefully.
"Hi" I spit out." So where are we going?"
"I made a lakeside picnic" he said, as we started walking towards the lake.When I finally saw the picnic I realized it was just a picnic, it could have been a gourmet restaurant. He had a candle lit in the middle along with two silver platters of food.
" Wow, this is amazing, Nico, you shouldnt have"
" but I wanted to", he said and pulled out a chair for me to sit on. He then sat himself. I opened up the silver platters and an amazing gourmet dinner stood before me. " I hope you like chicken Parmesan" he said a took a bite of it with his fork.
" Its my favorite" I said a dug in. I was happy none of us talked during the meal beacause I was too busy enjoying it.I couldnt even get through half of it, beacause I was already full, I looked up at Nico and he was struggling to eat his too. " So who made this?" I asked.
" A kitchen nymph owed me a favor" he said smiling.
" So I went to the Aphrodite Cabin today..." I started to say. He looked up and widened his eyes.
" Did you now?" he said blushing like crazy.
" yea, they gave me this dress!" I said and his face returned to its normal color.
" Yea, Black looks great on you" he said with a gulp.
" Thanks, um you wanna walk around or something." I said and stood up. The path was ruggady, the sky was dark but there was a full moon out that shined on the lake.
" Sure" he said and stood up I took his hand and eventually we interlocked fingers.
" So tell me something about yourself like your family, aside from the fact about hades being your dad and all" I said reluctantly
" There's not much to say, my moms dead and so is my sister" he said and kicked a rock with his shoe.
" I'm so sorry I didn't -"
"Know? yea theres a lot you don't know about me" he said.I stopped in my tracks and faced him.
"Then let me find out." I said. I actually made eye-contact with him, which I hadn't done before. It felt weird, his eyes were a perfect dark shade of brown, and had a weird sparkle to it, I saw myself in his eyes smiling. Thats when I kissed him.I'm not going to act like it wasn't my first time, so I just kissed him, it was my first kiss, and it felt ,well awesome. A surge went through my body, he wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck.It was just us,no one else. I slowly released, he looked at me and smiled.
" Go ahead " he said as he leaned in and kissed me.It started getting late so he dropped me off at my cabin with another kiss. Percy was already asleep so I creeped into my bed, not even changing into my pajamas, and fell straight to sleep.
