Chapter Two: Welcome Back

Hunters p.o.v
I stared at her in disbelief. Someone had to be screwing with me right? There was no way that I missed her waking up.

She looked peaceful, just like she did laying in the dispensary bed. What is making me doubt this all is she is laying in one spot, her covers were in mint condition still. I didnt know what to believe.

Hayden was having the same reaction as I was because all he was doing was staring at (y/n) in disbelief as well. "Someones messing with us, this is a cruel joke" "It really is, theres no way she would of woken up without us being there, no way"

We wanted to believe that we were being played and pranked but our minds changed very quickly when she shot up, grasping for air.

So cold, cant move, cant breathe

I shoot up again grasping for air. It was the same as last night, like all the air that was stolen from me was returning all at once.

When I finally began to regulate my breathing I could feel someone staring at me, so I turned my attention to the door to see both Hunter and Hayden staring at me in disbelief.

"(Y/...(Y/n)?" "Yes?" And like that both boys were on my bed, hugging the life out of me. "Cant...breathe!" Realizing they quickly let go, and began to stare at me once more.

"You guys are starting to creep me out" "Excuse us, our meister was just in a year coma and is acting like nothing even happened" "That's not my fault!" "Is to!" "Is not!"

As Hunter and I bickered back and forth between ourselves Hayden suddenly burst into a fit of laughter. "What's so funny?" "You are! Your fighting like as if no time has passed at all"

He was right, we were all back to our old antics and it hasn't even been a full 24 hours of me being awake. "I'm glad I could make your morning" "Uh hahaha huh"

That's when I realized something. "Holy shit! I have to go see Maka and Tsubaki! Wait where are the twins?" "One slow your horses and two they left earlier this morning" "Oh" "Dont worry you'll have plenty of time to see everyone once you get checked out by Stien"

"No! I wanna see them now!" "No ifs and buts, you were just in a year long coma, you need the check up" looking back and forth between the twins I knew they werent going to budge.

So I threw my hands up in defeat and slid on my favorite pair of (f/c) vans. I realized they were a bit more snug but that's to be expected since it's been a year since I last wore them.

"Missing something?" "Nope" "You sure?" "Absolutley" I wasn't dumb I knew they were talking about the fact I was wearing my pajamas but I didnt care. It wasn't like I was wearing anything scandalous anyways.

"You coming?" "Yep" I guess I got lost in my thoughts because when I refocused the twins were calling out to me from the front door. Damn those two.

I grabbed my cell which was now fully charged and headed out the door with the twins, heading back to Shibusen.

Makas p.o.v
"GONE!?" "Jeez Maka calm down" "Sorry, but when you tell me one of my bestfriends has suddenly gone missing out of the blue after a year of course I'm gonna be shouting!" "Ok, ok I got the point"

I felt kind of bad for yelling at Kid but he wasnt always great at delivering news, boyfriend or not. "I have to tell Tsubaki!" "Dont worry about it, Stien said if she is really awake the twins would know and would make her come back"

"I hope your right" "I know I'm right" at first I was confused when he said that. Kid isnt known to be a cocky arrogant ass but then it hit me when I realized he wasnt looking in my direction anymore. He was looking past me, which in turn caused me to look where he was.

That's when I saw her. She was walking with the twins to the dispensary which was half way down the hall from me. I dont think she recognized either of us because she walked into the dispensary without giving us another glance. I had to admit that it kind of hurt.

"Maka" "mhm" "Go see her, I'll be right.." before kid finished his sentence I took off down the hall towards the dispensary like a mad man. As I pushed past my fellow classmates some were concerned and others were just pissed off.

They were the least of my concerns, my main one at that moment was seeing my bestfriend. Without a second thought I yanked the door open when I reached it and basically tackled (y/n) to the floor, hugging the crap outta her.

"Oww!" Realizing I was clinging to tightly I let go, allowing us to both sit up. "Jeez what's your.." she instantly stopped when she looked up and saw my face. "Maka" "(Y/n)" and the hug was continued, well until professor Stien cleared his throat.

"If you girls could separate for a few minutes I can examine (y/n) and make sure she can be offically released and on her way"

We did as he said and I helped (y/n) to her feet, putting a decent amount of distance between us. I was so happy that she was awake that the truth didnt hit me until Stien started to check her over.

Here I am celebrating the return of my bestfriend when I havent even told her the bad news. The news I knew that would break her heart the worst.

How was I supposed to tell her that the man she loved was no longer in love with her, that he moved on 6 months after she fell Into the acoma.

How do I go about telling her that her Soul Eater Evan's was no longer hers to hold.
