Chapter Five: Flipped Reality?

"Oh my god I'm gonna barf! They've been going at it for 10 minutes now! Have they ever heard of air!"

The looks I got when I said this was kind of not the reaction I was hoping for. Maka kinda had that "your really gonna ask" that face, Hunter was holding in a laugh and Liz was doing the same. I didnt understand the looks until I realized something.

"Ok Soul and I didnt use to go at it like that!" "Well.." "Can it Hunter!" And like that the topic and Elaine and Soul was dropped, right then and there. Jeez I dont know what was going through my head!

I decided I needed a breather so I stepped out of the cafeteria and walked to the outside balcony, leaning against the ledge. Jeez (y/n) get a grip, since when did you care about....

My thought process stopped halfway when Elaine came towards me, with a very pissed off expression. I knew this was gonna be trouble.

Elaine's p.o.v
"How dare you, last night was inappropriate on so many levels!" "It was a song" "A song? A song my ass! Your message was loud and clear"

"I promise I was just singing Elaine calm down" "No, I will not calm down!" "Seriously just..."

My hand connected with her face faster then she could spit out her last sentence, what I didnt expect was for her to slap me back.

I guess they weren't lying when she said she packed a punch because I ended up spitting teeth on the floor before smacking my head, one moment I was concious and then the next I wasnt.

Damn that bitch.

My reflexes took over and it all happened so quickly. My hand connected with her face and then her face with the ground.

I thought she would get back up and start a fight but instead she laid there, blood coming from head, that's when I realized I might of just killed her.

I quickly bent down and checked her pulse, thank god she still had one cause if she didnt I would have no way of figuring out how to explain it.

I wasnt the jealous type and I never got into fights unless it was Star but yet here I was fighting with Souls new girlfriend. God damn what is wrong with me latley.

Groaning I picked Elaine up and brought her to the dispensary where Stien patched her up. When he finished his attention flipped to me oh so quickly.

"Care to explain?" "We got into a spat and she slapped me so I slapped her back, but I guess I forgot to hold back because when my hand connected with her face she fell hard, smacking her head on the concrete"

"Your lucky it's just a small concussion, anything more and you and I would be taking a nice stroll to the death room to have a small chat with Lord Death, Next time hold back and dont fight students who cant take it"

I simply nodded before racing out of the dispensary. I needed to clear my head for real this time, so I ditched class for the rest of the day to take a nap.

Hunters p.o.v
"She did what?" "She messed up my girlfriend!" "Dude, are you sure Elaine isnt fabricating the story? (Y/n) isnt the jealous type or the type to use full strength against someone weaker"

Souls eyebrows kind of twitched at the last sentence but I didn't care. There was no way she punched Elaine and left her on the balcony. Of course Soul didnt care because he was practically trying to barge into my apartment.

"Where is she? I want to talk to her" "Shes napping, leave a message" "Bull" and like that he pushed past me and stormed into (y/n)'s room, waking her from a dead sleep.

Cold, so very cold, cant..breathe.....

I woke up again gasping for air, like the life that was forcefully taken from me for the second time today was returning all at once.

"Dude what the hell is wrong with you" that voice...

Turning my head to the right Soul stood at the door with a very pissed off look on his face. "Why the hell are you in my apartment, let alone my room!" "You know why!" "No I dont so please do share!" "Elaine!"

When he said that I collapsed against my pillows and groaned.

"What about her" "I heard what happened, how could you" "She started it and I got so angry and" "She started it? SHE STARTED IT!? To hell with that, the video tape a student got says differently"

Without warning Soul shoved it into my face and made me watch it. There I was, minding my buisness and Elaine approached, we got into the argument and I punched her before jumping off the blacony.

I...I did that? No that cant be right, that's not how that happened.

"That's fake!" "How, how could someone fake that!" "Technology works in wonderful ways huh!" "It is the truth, Stien even told me he found her like that!" "He.. found her like that?" Soul ignored my comment and continued to scream at me.

"IF YOU EVER COME NEAR ME OR ELAINE AGAIN YOU'LL BE SORRY!" and like that, he left, slamming the front door behind him. I looked to Hunter who was appalled.

"If that video is the truth Hunter, then something really serious is wrong with me" "(y/n)" "I'm serious, it didnt happen like that for me, but if the video is really the truth then.." "Then nothing, we will get this cleared up ok" "Ok"
