Demi's POV

I start to make dinner waiting for Joe to come home from the studio. Yesterday he came home and was acting a little weird, like he was quiet. That's very unusual for him, but I think I know why now today. His mother came over and apologized for her behavior that one night, I was happy that we were all good; but I'm angry with Joe for making her apologize. Now his mom only did it because he made her, and I hate it. Well, we did have a nice chat today, and she wasn't glaring at me. I think she'll slowly adapt to me dating her son, slowly. I hear the door open and Joe's voice singing.

" Love slayer, causing nothing but trouble babe. " he sings happily and then walks into view.

" New song? " I ask smiling at his voice, I have to remind myself I'm angry with him. It's hard when he looks super sexy in a black leather jacket and a see through white V-neck shirt.

" Yeah, your gonna love it. " he says smiling before he comes and kisses me. He tries to go for something long, but I pull back and go back to making dinner.

" Are you ok? " he asks placing his hand on my shoulder.

" Fine. " I say not wanting a fight to come.

" Did I do something wrong? " he asks rubbing my back with one hand and coming close to me. I loved the feeling, but I have to push that away.

" Yeah, you did. " I say turning around to see his confused eyes.

" What did I do? " he asks full of concern.

" Joe, I know you told your mom to apologize to me. " I say sighing deeply, why did he have to do it?

" Did she tell you that? " he asks quickly looking frustrated.

" No of course not. She came over today and apologized, but I know you told her to. Why? " I ask trying to keep my voice leveled.

" Because you deserved it. I hate seeing you hurt. " he says looking sad now. I walk to him and hug him close, he's surprised.

" Joe that's sweet, but let me fight my own battles. Ok? " I ask looking straight into his dreamy chocolate eyes.

" Ok, I'm sorry. " he says hugging me close.

" It's ok. " I say pecking his lips. His frown then turns into a smile.

" Stop teasing. " he says coming back for another kiss, this one is more long and overwhelming. I move my arms so they are around his neck pulling him in closer. Then suddenly I smell something burning and remember that I had dinner on the stove.

" Oh crap. " I say releasing Joe running to the stove and turning down the flame. My spaghetti was slightly burned but looked plausible. I was never much of a cook anyways..

" Well we'll just have to deal with it. " I say sighing before Joe comes over and holds my waist.

" Looks good to me. " he says smiling, always positive.

I kissed his lips softly pulling him closer before I released, I never wanted to let him go.

" We should probably get to sleep. " I say snuggling into his arms, where it was warm and inviting.

" Fine. " he says in a jokingly way pulling me in closer. His smile was the cutest thing I've ever seen, he's so happy right now. I love it when he can't stop smiling.

" I love you. " I say truthfully, I could never ever love another the way I love him. He's mine.

" I love you too. " he says making me feel good. Even though I knew it, it still made me feel happy and special.

I close my eyes and try to go to sleep, I was exhausted.

" Demi...are you still awake? " I hear his voice whisper into my ear about twenty minutes later, I haven't been able to fall asleep and obviously neither has he.

" Yeah. " I whisper back smiling.

" I have to ask you something. " he says normally now.

" What is it? " I say opening my eyes.

" Wanna have a lazy day with me tomorrow? " he asks grinning, why would he ask me now?

" Sure. " I say thinking it would be fun just to watch a couple of movies and chat with Joe.

" Sweet. " he says smiling, did he think I would say no?

" Why did you decide to ask now? " I ask curiously.

" Because I've been thinking lately that we should have one, and I just decided it should be tomorrow. " he says kissing my forehead.

" Oh ok." I say smiling, I can't wait now.
