Clarke's POV

Shocked.

After Kane told what he did, I tried to process the words he said.

I mean, I can't believe it. Okay, I never really digged into the details of how my father died, but I never would have thought that he shot an officer in doing so, especially not Lexa's dad.

Ohh, speaking of, Lexa. I wonder what she thinks.

I didn't notice until now how silent she was. There was a 20 seconds long silence before I realized she was there too.

When I looked at her slowly, my eyes went from her crossed arms, through her clenched jaw to her eyes looking right into mine.

But I've never seen this much sadness, confusion, and suprisingly, hatred in her eyes.

- You knew about this all along, didn't you? - Lexa whispered with gritted teeth.

- I should've known. However, noone has told me that before. I only knew that my dad was shot by a police officer.

- So our fathers really did kill each other. What are the chances? - I could hear the irony in her voice. - Or yours killed my dad and the few others who were found dead in that building, then he killed himself. Either way, my dad was an innocent, good man, and he didn't deserve to be killed by a criminal.

Ouch, she emphasized the last word, of course did. We're back to level 1, I see.

- I want to find out what happened too, I'm sure we'll- My sentence got interrupted by the door Lexa shut in.

Looks like there's no we.

Raven's POV

While I was waiting for Clarke to come out of "the room next to the investigation room", I tried to make some new friends.

A very handsome guy, Lucifer, who investigated Kane looked very confused after he left the room, so I decided to talk to him, maybe he holds some useful informations for me.

- Heyy, you're Lucifer, aren't you?

- It just me now, the big bad devil.

- Oh, right. Cause the devil's name is Lucifer too.

- Nevermind, you wouldn't get it. Just like I can't understand why the Detective didn't notice my horns today. I mean, she could clearly see them, but she still doesn't believe that I am what I am.

He pointed to his horns, and I leant closer, so I could get a better view.

They looked like a 2$ accessory to a first grader's halloween costume, I wonder how he thinks those can convince anyone.

- I don't know man, she's clearly in denial.

- You may be right. I should discuss it with my therapist, maybe she can help the detective.

I just shaked my head as a reaction for his sentence, I don't know how this guy is still alive, he's so gullible.

When my vision cleared after shaking my head so zealously, I saw Lexa leaving from the room Clarke was in. She looked rather upset.

- What the Hell happened there?

- Oh, those two girls just got more informations about how their fathers died. So they are probably recreating their last situation in their head over and over again... As a result, it is Hell indeed. - He looked me in the eyes proudly. - Maybe you really do get what I was saying. Well done, Reyes.
