"If I have to carry one more box I think I'm going to die." Mikey complained, carefully setting down another cardboard container on the kitchen bench, totally ignoring the word 'bedroom' that was scrawled across the side of it. Gerard rolled his eyes, adjusting his grip on the two boxes in his own arms as he walked past his brother and into the bedroom, happy to be able to put them down finally. He stretched a bit before heading back towards Mikey, who wasn't being very useful at all.

"You do know that when you agreed to help with this, it meant carrying shit right?"

Mikey only poked his tongue out in a very mature way before finally taking the box with bedroom written on it and disappearing through the doorway Gerard had come back through earlier.

"God isn't this exciting?" A pair of arms snaked around Gerards waist and pulled him backwards into a hug, Frank resting his chin on his fiance's shoulder as he grinned. "We have a house."

Gerard turned in Franks arms and kissed him softly, matching his smile. "It's crazy is what it is."

The movers had already been and gone, bringing in all the furniture and things of that sort and now that the couple (and Mikey) had managed to grab all the stuff from their cars it was finally started to sink in.

They had a house together.

They had a house and jobs and an anniversary coming up. It was odd to think that there was a time when neither of them thought they'd make it past 17.

"Do you guys have everything inside yet?" Mikeys voice cut through the soft domestic haze the two men were in and Gerard nodded absentmindedly, pulling away from Frank much to the latters despair.

"Yeah- well, i still have to grab my art stuff out of the car but that's about it. You can leave if you want." He ruffled his little brothers hair to be annoying and managed to duck the following smack before Mikey pulled him into a proper hug, his touch soft with love despite the previous attempts to injure Gerard.

"You two asshats better invite us over for dinner when you're all settled in." He demanded, moving to give Frank a hug as well before grabbing his stuff and leaving. Of course, making sure to get a verbal promise to invite him and his girlfriend over.

"Wait-" Gerard looked up from the box he was opening in surprise at his fiance's sudden outburst. "Does this mean we can finally get a dog?"

Frank looked so excited that Gerard couldn't do anything but roll his eyes fondly and nod. "Yes baby, we can get a dog."

The two hadn't had the energy to do anything beyond putting the bed together and then putting the sheets on. Well, Frank put the bed together while Gerard helpfully handed him the required materials and Gerard had made the bed while Frank sat on the floor and pouted because Gerard wouldn't let him help.

But beyond that, they had no energy or motivation to do anything else, so they'd shed their jeans and had snuggled up together under the covers, ready for a nice long nap.

Gerard woke up a few hours later, the unfamiliar house shrouded in a murky darkness (it could never be fully dark in urban areas) as he pulled Frank closer to him, soaking in the warmth of his fiance's body. Frank let out a sleepy mumble but otherwise didn't stir and after a few minutes Gerard came to the conclusion that he wouldn't be going back to sleep anytime soon.

"Frank?" He mumbled, somewhat sleepily. There wasn't much of a response. "Frankie? Babe?" Gerard tried again, placing soft kisses along the other man's shoulder until it moved beneath his lips.

"Gee?" The reply was a sleepy mumble, filled with confused annoyance and Gerard couldn't help but breathe out a laugh and sit up to see his face in the half-light.
