The troopers marched loudly steps in sync as they headed into the winding halls towards the empty quarters. She looked around at everything trying to take it all in at once and felt like for some reason she was waking up. As if something had hit her hard and she was just coming to only now.
She still had no idea where she was or even who she was for that matter. But somehow she felt a bit more in control and more like herself at the moment. She didn't know how to explain it and didn't get the time to as she was pulled into a room and shoved a bit into the center of it.
One of the Troopers hesitated a moment by the door unsure of what exactly the protocol was with this prisoner. After a second he settled on a "Stay here!" then turned and left. She blinked and watched the door shut tightly now suddenly left in an absolutely quiet room alone.
Turning around to look at her new surroundings she scanned the place, it was a quarters meant for higher officials. But beyond a lavatory, large bed, table and window the room was completely bare like it had been awaiting use. It was all grey and smooth the room spanning in an oval shape. Sleek and lit with almost ambient lighting from the sides of the walls but boring offering nothing of interest to look at.
But at least the incredibly large window looked out into the stars. She approached slowly still processing everything. As she tried to think she reached up and slid off her robe leaving it on the floor revealing her smaller frame no longer lost inside the enormous fabric, it was clearly meant for someone much bigger than her. Reaching the window there was a sill wide enough to sit on comfortably. She let herself slide up onto it then stared out into space for several moments in deep thought before finally actually making a sound. Sighing as if tired and worried she looked down to her feet a moment before pulling her knees into her chest and sitting back to just stare off at the stars.
Many hours passed in pure silence as she tried to make sense of anything. Eventually she grew tired and went to the bed, finding it was at least comfortable. Curling up into a ball on it she let herself fall into a deep sleep. There was simply nothing else to do and as she slowly realized her situation it made her tired to think on. She slept without dreaming as she had nothing to dream about.
Hux after dealing with the enemy bandits and taking their resources as had been planned that day suddenly remembered the girl. His questions came back and ebbed at him as he wondered why or how she was special enough to have Kylo Ren let live.
Surely she was not a Jedi or anything else of importance. Ren didn't even tell him where she had been found or what exactly she was. A feline humanoid. He hoped it didn't have any diseases his mind trailing back to the embarrassing petting incident.
He marched down the hall to find her wanting answers. He wasn't sure how he could get answers from a mute but he'd find a way, force it from her if he had to. If it was true that she was nothing and was but a joke from Ren to toy with him, he could simply kill her and be done with it.
Reaching the door he waved off the soldiers following him. She was hardly a threat and he wished to find the truth by himself. Attempting to stand taller and look more menacing he rolled his shoulders, poising himself, then stepped into the room boots loud and commanding as he walked.
"Creature."
He boomed expecting to startle her and make an entrance. To his annoyance she was sound asleep.
His stoic face fell looking annoyed and he sighed before continuing. Striding to the bed he gave it a swift kick jolting her body making her wake with a start hands outstretching in panic.
"WAKE UP."
Enjoying seeing her frightened he straightened himself again ready to continue. But just as quickly as she was startled her posture dropped relaxed and yawned very loudly. Scowling to himself he knew he was probably wasting his time.
"Listen creature. What and who are you?"
She blinked a moment but ignored him instead stretching her leg out while yawning again. He looked ready to strike her for her sheer disrespect in his presence eyes watching her audaciously stretch.
He also noticed that now she wasn't wearing her oversized robe her figure now visible leg outstretched over the bed as she sighed in content. Disgusting. He thought towards her lack of class around a man she didn't even know as he averted his eyes.
Smacking her lips she finally looked up at him dully and suddenly perked as if she only just realized who he was. Sitting up straighter she looked at him expectantly just as she had in the bridge. Hux's eyes narrowed as he seethed at her carefree nature around him. She should be scared goddammit. He snapped at her irritably.
"Can you not talk you stupid thing?" He spit cursing himself for wasting his time. She stared at him for a second as if thinking on his question, then to his surprised she did. She spoke slowly as if she could barely form words.
"I....can."
But her ability to even answer after ignoring him as she had only sent him reeling in baffled rage.
"You can- YOU DARE DISRESPECT ME YOU LITTLE CRETIN!?"
She stared at him only barely understanding what he said. His breathing was fast, furious at being played like a fiddle by this thing. Blinking again once he finished she continued struggling with recollecting repeating only what the mask man had said before. Only to realize she didn't know why she knew that.
"My head. Hit."
She said slowly as if she wasn't sure. Still heaving he stared at her eyes wide and slightly bulging but forced himself to calm slightly repeating what she said in confusion.
"Your head? What? Some sort of brain injury?"
She shrugged and suddenly it became clear why she didn't seem to be scared of anything or him at all. She didn't remember anything.
Great. Hux thought dryly. So now he had a brain damaged creature. This was all some sick joke. Just to waste his time and make a fool of him wasn't it? Swearing to himself he turned away to immediately leave resolving to just leave her there indefinitely. In a soft polite voice she spoke after him.
"Where?"
He slowed a moment before calling over his shoulder in a low voice.
"You're on the Star Killer Fleet. Of the First Order you stupid girl."
He spoke words dripping with malice to make her understand. She could only stare not knowing what that meant at all. The door shut loudly leaving her once again alone. Having just woke up she remembered that she seemed to be now trapped in this place which made her feel cold. So she curled up again in a ball and decided to wait and see what would happen.
