Word reached the bridge quickly. Hux in the middle of overseeing the search of a planet for thugs who had stolen from a First Order delivery carrier, was interrupted as a man came over and stood up rigid straight.

"Ren's prisoner has been attacked sir."

Hux who was barely even paying attention span quickly to look at him face filling with angry confusion. The man avoided eye contact knowing messengers always received the worst of it.

"What!?"

Swallowing he pressed on.

"A rogue trooper struck the prisoner sir. He has just been restrained."

Hux's fist clenched squelching the leather in his gloves as he exhaled hard. Of course nothing could ever be easy. Knowing that this was 'under his eye' he quickly pushed past the man who gladly stepped aside. Hux yelled out to no one in particular as he stormed off towards the quarters further in the ship.

"Imbeciles!!"

The trooper was being held back against the wall by two others waiting on the General to show up. The prisoner on the ground shook too scared to get up not trusting any of the white clad soldiers anymore. The rabid man grunted and jerked against their grasps like a crazed dog no longer making actual words anymore.

Strutting into the room with urgency followed by two more soldiers Hux turned on his heel seeing the situation and snarled looking for who was at fault.

"What happened!?"

A guard answered immediately looking to him.

"H9-576's conditioning has malfunctioned sir. He struck the prisoner."

At the mention of his label the trooper jerked again hard making them pull back firmly the sound causing the girl to whimper. Hux's teeth grit in annoyance cursing his fathers still ever faulty system. Now he had a mess to clean up as he always had to.

The girl slowly looked over face stained with tears up at Hux unsure of what to expect now. Her head throbbed painfully from it's contact with the floor leaving a large bruise. Hux didn't look at her and instead angrily moved his coat to the side unsheathed his blaster and had it up to the troopers throat. His voice shrill was irritated beyond all measure as yelled.

"IDIOT!!! DAMAGING VALUABLE GOODS!!"

What happened next was so fast she barely had time to look away. The blaster jammed underneath the troopers helmet forcing him to look up, the barrel into his throat. His breath choked for only a second as Hux's face went expressionless and the trigger was pulled.

His body jerked as his brain matter hit the wall. Immediately falling limp the others caught hold of his lifeless body and quickly dragged him out his boots noisily scuffing the floor. Hux stowed his blaster back and sighed to himself as if annoyed by all the trouble he just had to go through, her wide terrified eyes still on the streak of the man's brains left on the wall.

Looking down at her unamused Hux immediately adressed her ignoring how clearly traumatized she was.

"Look at you. Get up."

Shaking and having just watched him kill a man she did as she said and slowly sat up off the ground. Struggling to regain her balance her head throbbed making her hand shoot up to touch it on instinct.

Annoyed at her slowness he stepped over and quickly kneeled down in front of her. She didn't even have time to react and became simply frozen in fear as his hand reached out and grabbed a firm hold of her chin. The leather was rough and tight as he turned her head to the side looking her over.

Having him so close had her entire body unable to move not even shaking from shock. He towered over her greatly in height despite being kneeled down and so close she could finally see the sharp magnificent blue his eyes were. Eyes cold and assessing she forced herself to look away from his gaze tears still pouring down and meeting his glove.

She looked away still shaken and ignored his stare as he began turning her head side to side.

"Good. Not badly damaged."

He murmured to himself as if she was a shipping container and scoffed wondering how a lowly trooper could have slipped past him. She tried to keep her eyes to the ceiling ignoring his touch but his sudden voice that was a bit louder addressed her, getting her attention.

"I cannot allow you to be hurt. You're valuable."

He said pointedly before turning her chin to look at him directly. His gaze was solemn with little emotion.

"Understood?"

She stared at him having no idea how to respond to that. But her eyes told him she understood the gravity of the situation. Thinking onto how her friend had gone crazy and probably almost killed her she wasn't sure how to feel. But apparently she was worth saving.

She opened her mouth trying to talk and managed a small.

"Thank.you."

Hux made a face as if baffled by the response. Dropping her as quickly as he had picked her up he wiped his hand off her shoulder.

"Fool. I did not save you."

He looked down on her She looked down as she reached up to feel her head wincing in pain.

"If Kylo Ren finds his prized pet damaged he'll have both our heads."

With that he turned on his heel his coat flaring after him with stature as he went for the door. Pausing he called out to another trooper.

"Get her checked after. Do not let this happen again."

The door shut and with that she was left alone again with another trooper.
