I ran around frantically trying to clean the house and make everything look nice and neat. Daniel was on his way, and although he had been over here plenty of times before, this time it just felt different. I had been cleaning since the second I got home from the shoot almost an hour ago.My heart raced as I heard a car door shut from outside. Within a minute there was a knock at the door. I waiting a second before opening the door. Daniel stood with a small smile on his face. He held the takeout bags in his hands.
"Hi," We both said at the same time. Why was I so nervous? I laughed and let him in. He set the bags on the kitchen counter as I followed him.
We sat down and ate, talking about today's shoot. Daniel had changed into a pair of black sweatpants and a red crewneck. Even in the simplest outfits he looked amazing. From the photo shoot talk, we talked about random things. I asked him about his music and that sent him into a daze. I loved the way he smiled so widely at even the mention of it.
"Jonah and I just finished the song last night, and I'm really excited for it. I think we're gonna go in tomorrow and record it for the label." Daniel went on as I cleaned up the kitchen. We went into the living room and I searched through almost every streaming service I had, finding nothing. I finally let Daniel put something on and within a minute there was something on the tv.
"What'd you put on?" I asked and sat next to him on the couch.
"Titanic, a classic." Daniel smiled like a little kid. He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer into him. I smiled to myself and rested my head on his shoulder.
Half way through the movie, I could feel myself starting to doze off. I could never sit through this movie because of how long it was. I closed my eyes for what I thought was a moment, but when I opened them back up, Jack was slipping away in the ocean.
"Did you have a nice nap?" Daniel joked and poked my side. I playfully hit him and sat up, stretching my arms out. I went to lean back but was attacked by Daniel tickling my sides. I was sent into a laughing fit and fell back onto the couch. Daniel towered over me and continued to tickle me.
"Stop!" I laughed and tried to push Daniel's strong arms away from my body. His hands stopped but rested on my sides. We both calmed down from our laughing fits and Daniel looked down at me. My eyes met his, and I watched as the light blue shade turn dark. His face lowered and was now only inches from mine. He stopped and rested his head on my forehead.
"I-I don't wanna rush this," Daniel said, his lips only so far from mine now. I could feel myself craving him at this point. Fuck it.
"Well what's the fun in that, Seavey?" I smirked before pressing my lips to his. Without hesitation, he kissed back. Our lips moved perfectly in sync, as if we had been doing this forever.
Our minds were so lost in what was happening, that the sound of my cellphone ringing scared Daniel and I both. He sat up instantly. I grabbed my phone and saw Aedan's name on the screen.
"It's Aedan. I'll be right back, okay?" I said, giving him a reassuring smile before stepping outside. The sun was setting, making the cool LA breeze go by. The sunset was absolutely beautiful. I answered the call and held the phone close to my ear. "Hey, A."
"Malia! I have something to ask you." Aedan's excited voice filled through the phone. I laughed and sat down on the edge of one of the lounge chairs by the pool. "So you know how I'm in Dallas right now, but the next show is in Tampa?"
"Yea, what about it?" I was beyond confused right now. Aedan told me daily about where he'd be that night, but he never seemed this excited.
"Well, how would you feel about flying out to Tampa tomorrow morning and coming to the show? I miss you so much and need my little sister right now." Aedan's voice towards the end sounded off, like there was something he wanted to tell me.
I looked through the doors and saw Daniel texting away on his phone. Frank now sat beside him on the couch. I finally told Aedan about getting him, and when I sent him the picture, he had the same reaction as a Daniel. That poor, ugly little cat that I loved so much.
"Well I mean, yea, I'd love to." I said through the phone, a smile forming on my face. This would be the first time I'd be seeing my brother in almost a month and a half. I thought I wouldn't see him until after his tour was already over.
"Great! I'll book the flight and everything and I'll send you the information."
We said our goodbyes and I went back inside. Daniel sat petting Frank. He purred loudly as Daniel scratched the back of his ear.
"What did Mr Hollywood have to say?" Daniel asked, using Aedan's album name. I laughed and shook my head.
"He asked me to fly out to Tampa for tomorrow's show." I sat back down, reaching over to pet Frank.
"Are you going to?" A hint if sadness filled his voice. He looked over at me.
"Yea, I haven't seen him in a while. And he's been acting weird lately. I think maybe if I go and talk to him about things he'll feel better." I shrugged and positioned myself so I was completely facing Daniel.
"What am I gonna do without you, though?" He pouted like a baby.
"It's a day, I think you'll live." I laughed and poked his cheek.
"Well how about I stay the night and drive you to the airport, to make up for the time that we're gonna lose?" Daniel gave me a wide, cheesy smile.
"I think we can make that work." I smiled and leaned in, kissing his cheek.
