Natasha's POV

Being this close to her gave me absolute ecstasy. In her arms it felt like nothing else in the world mattered; not Thanos coming back, not the decimation, not my friends;  my family. It was completely selfish of me, I know. But Carol gave me a sense of peace and liberty, that I couldn't help.

Even before, through a hologram, speaking to her gave me comfort. I didn't realize before because I didn't want to admit it. It felt too good to be true... she felt too good to be true.

Earlier, I hugged her not because I thought she needed a hug — like I had told her. It was me. I wanted to be hugged... by her. And I wanted to be right there in her arms forever.

However, Carol was quick to pull away, which left me with a hole in my chest. She turned away and attended the beeping sound that came out of her armor's communicator. That fucking sound that made Carol detach from me.

"Scott?" I heard her say into the small hologram that lighted up from her forearm.

"Carol?!" I recognized Scott Lang's distress voice from the other side, "Where are you?! We need a hand!"

"Oh shit," the captain hissed, "I totally forgot. What's the status?"

"Freaking Thanos just came b-" the ant man grunted, "He came back, time traveling is hitting us back!"

"Hold on, Scott." Carol was collected as she walked a few steps forward towards the platform she had initially landed on, "I'm on my way."

Her helmet linked on as she dismissed the call, masking half of her face and picking her hair into a mohawk.

I just stood still watching her like she was some kind of goddess.

"I will be back in a few, Nat." She said, slowly turning around to face me, but over the platform. Ready to take off.

My head shook instantly, "No," I said with authority, "No, you're not leaving me."

Carol was deadpan, not even I recognized this side of her.

"Oh, you're staying." Her voice was also deliberately serious, which gave me a bit of chills.

But I was not about to let myself be ordered around by some moody Captain Marvel. Only I was allowed to do that.

"You already threw me in this ship and kept me away, you're not doing it again, Danvers." My voice raised more than ever.

Carol only knew poised, worried and sad Natasha. It's time she got to see deadly Natasha.

With a deep frown and my fists tightly closed, I stepped forward. I was about to make damn sure she took me with her.

But she worked some buttons from her communicator, and suddenly I bumped into the misty shield that protected the inside from when the hatch opens up.

I grunted, and tried to see through the shield, but it wasn't transparent, and I could only see a blur of Carol Danvers before she did the glow and just flew away.

No, no, no, no, no.

Carol Danvers was not just going off to fight Thanos with my family and just leave me out of it. She can't do that shit to me.

My body trembled out of rage. This woman, when I see her again she's going to hear hell out of me. Even if I had to fly myself this ship down to earth.

"Who opened the hatch?" I recognized Talos' voice from behind me.

Immediately, I shifted around towards the skrull. With my war face on, I growled as My fists picked in either side of his coat and pulled the alien menacingly close to me.
