The Shelby's decided to have a night at the Garrison since Arthur was home for a bit. Amelié had officially joined the company now, as an advisor for the Shelby's, so she wanted to be there to give the news to Arthur; she also wanted to enjoy herself a bit. She had been living in fear these past few months since she'd been back from London the first time. She put on a dress that she made a while ago. It was black with flowery lace down the sleeves and it had a slit that went up to her thigh. She wore a small amount of makeup and let her hair down, letting it lay naturally. She liked it that way, but never thought it to be proper to wear in public. She didn't care about being proper anymore, though. She had been through so much that she could care less what the small minded men of Small Heath think. She was practically a Shelby now, anyways.
She walks into the pub and everybody yells with joy. She smiles and walks into the small room where the Shelby brothers sit. "Hello," Amelié says, almost too quietly.
She sits next to Arthur with a little smile on her face. The men were happy to see her. "You ought to be a movie star Amelié!" John calls out.
"An actress? No John boy! She's too posh for those filthy women!" Arthur laughs.
Amelié chuckles with amusement and looks at Arthur, "where's Tommy?" she asks.
"Dealin' with the race horse with that woman trainer," Arthur answers.
Amelié looks at Arthur confused, "woman trainer?"
"Arthur you didn't have to say it like that," John laughs, "he's stayin' the night there but I'm sure it's no problem."
Amelié stares at John. She wouldn't have worried about it if they weren't talking the way they were.
Michael and a friend appear in the room. "Here they are, look! Junior Peaky boys," Arthur shouts.
They sit and Arthur pauses, scanning them, "what's happened to ya, you been scrappin'?" he asks.
"No," Michael answers, "Some idiots at the Marquis of Lorne. They tried to stop me and Isiah from drinking, but it's alright. We fought them off! Arthur, we had to stand our ground and we did."
"The Marquis, aye?" Arthur says, as the three Shelby brothers stand. They throw Finn back to his seat and look at Isiah, "where's your dad?" Arthur asks.
"Preachin'," he simply answers after a sip from his drink.
"Right," Arthur says, as the brothers take their coats and leave.
Amelié follows the brothers and stops John. "John, it's not a good idea to burn down the Marquis right now. You guys are on watch and it'll only give them ammo!" Amelié says into John's ear.
"People need to learn not to fuck with the Peaky Blinders, Amelié," John says before walking off.
She sighs and walks back into the room. "What's the point of having an advisor if they're not going to listen?" she asks herself out loud, while sitting next to the two boys.
"Shame. It was a nice pub," she hears Isiah say.
She sips from her whiskey and thinks of Thomas and the woman horse trainer.

Thomas was up getting a drink, unable to sleep. His mind was riddled with thoughts of Amelié and the night she was found. You won't stop until you conquer the fucking world, Tommy!
He remembers Amelié's words, her face, and her thighs. Her poor beaten up thighs. He wanted to kill every man who had hurt her, if only he could.
He hears his door creak open, so he pulls out his gun and points it towards the door, "show yourself," he demands.
May comes in with her hands in the air, "I didn't mean to startle you Mr. Shelby."
He sighs and puts his gun away, sipping his drink. "I... couldn't sleep," May says.
"Drink?" Thomas asks.
She nods and he pours her a glass of gin. When he hands it to her, she stares up at him. "There's no fire going in my room, Thomas," she whispers.
He rubs his eyes and takes another sip. "May..." he says.
She stands very close to him, her eyes fixated on the strong willed man in front of her. She wanted him, and she thought he wanted her too. She leans in and kisses him. Thomas kisses back, but soon pulls away. "Thomas I had this feeling..." she starts.
Thomas shakes his head, "better get the fire in your room started, you'll get cold."
"I thought I'd stay in here," she says, stepping close to him again. He doesn't look at her. Amelié crosses his mind again. "Are you seeing someone?" she asks.
He nods without another word. She looks up at him disappointed. And without another word, she left the room. Thomas sighs and sits in his chair. He hopes it won't affect the quality of the training, but he couldn't give up Amelié for a girl who doesn't like being alone.
-
Thomas walks through the hall of the large church and stares at the alter. Letting out a sigh, a familiar awful voice begins speaking. "The date has been set... three weeks from today," Campbell says from his seat, "you checked it his house?"
Without looking at him, Thomas says, "there's coppers all over it. You'll take care of them?"
"No, it would arouse suspicion. You'll have to deal with them yourself," Campbell answers.
"And if a copper gets killed?"
"There will be no consequences for you. I have given you my word," Campbell says, adjusting in his seat.
"Which I know to be worthless," Thomas answers, still not looking at him, "that is why I have been settling my affairs in the event of my death."
Amelié crosses his mind. She was centered of a farm with two bright looking children running behind her.
Campbell chuckles, "and making your peace with God perhaps? Good luck with that."
Thomas finally turns to face the man and slowly walks towards him. "I've made arrangements with men I trust. If I should die, then you will die. Know that," he threats.
Campbell stares at Thomas with cold feet. He knew Thomas not to be a liar when it comes threatening people.
Thomas then walks off, with Amelié and the farm on his mind. He wanted a happy life, but not until the races were his. He wouldn't admit it, but the mission he was on for the government made him nervous. He didn't want to leave Amelié here without knowing she was safe, nor his family. What was the come next, nobody knew.
